Sending You Love

Hi guys! I’m back today with a clean and simple card that uses some of my favorite dies.  I got out my Distress inks and inked up some Fabriano Medioevalis.  I love how Distress inks blend together.   Then I die cut some hearts with Heart Stacklets.  Now…I love cards that have small, subtle details.  To me, that’s what makes a card.  I wanted my sentiment to be my finishing touch.  I used Mini Tags and had a hard time deciding what tag to use.  :)

A little pink embroidery ribbon helped add some soft color and make my tag stand out.  The sentiment is from Many Minis – Occasion and it’s perfect with the hearts.

I decided to add one more die, Curly Swirlies and a few sequins to the background…and my card is finished!

Pockets & Pages September Script

Hi guys! If you’ve been waiting for more of the Pocket & Pages Script months, you don’t have to wait any longer! I have a 12×12 layout for you today, using P&P September Script. It couldn’t have come at a better time for me as I had a handful of pictures from last September, when we went to an apple orchard.

P&P September Script

I love the words in the September Script, they are perfect for fall and for your apple orchard memories.  Here you can see I used “apple”.  Here my youngest and my oldest are admiring (and picking!) the apples.

P&P September Script

Before we walked to the orchard, we stopped at the pumpkin display they had.  It was warm and sunny and the colors really popped.  They also had chickens and turkeys.  My youngest was pecked by a turkey.  Surprisingly, he didn’t cry, he looked a little confused, but he moved on and forgot all about it.

P&P September Script

The orchard provided the wagons to pull your apples and little ones along in.  My little one wanted to walk and my older ones wanted the ride.  Go figure!  I used “today” from P&P Circle Words.  I like how these work with solid backgrounds.

P&P September Script

I love the font of  “september” and “fall”.  They cut like butter and I had no trouble at all die cutting them.

P&P September Script

I saw several apples, still hanging from the branches, with bites taken out of them.  Eeek!  I didn’t particularly like the waste, but enjoyed how the wasps were benefitting from it (from a distance, of course!).  Here’s a shot of one with a little wasp enjoying his afternoon snack.

P&P September Script

A little disclaimer here…I realize this page has a lot of pictures of my youngest.  My older children are at the age where having me click away is not their idea of fun.  And so, my pictures of them were at a distance or behind them.  I promise, I have no favorites!

Love Machine

Hi guys! I hope you are all having great week! I’ve been loving the pictures that I saw from CHA, there’s so many yummy new products coming out! Today I have a card, perfect for Valentine’s Day (it’s right around the corner!). I used Wash Dry Repeat and think this is the cutest set!  The challenge for this month was to make a card with card stock only, NO patterned paper!  Eeek!  lol.  This was a fun challenge for me and I think I found a work around by using Diagonal Stripes embossing folder.  :)

Wash Dry Repeat

I love the Color Block Cutting Plate and modified it slightly, by cutting one of the separating lines off.  The hearts are some extras I had from another project, that used Hearts a Flutter Cutting Plate.

On the Road

My first card uses Build a Scene On the Road and Vroom Vroom (Petite Stamp & Combo die).  I have fallen in love with the Build a Scene dies and now, there is a Build a Scene patterned paper pack!  Do you see those gorgeous clouds?  Cloudy Embossing Folder is perfect for all those outdoor scenes, with minimal effort!  I used Pinking Circles Stacklets and Banner Stacklets 1 for the “red ribbon” and think this makes a cute boy card!

On the Road

My 2nd card uses more Build a Scene products…Build a Scene Rolling Clouds (LOVE!), Build a Scene Rolling Hills and Build a Scene Mountain Tops.  I already use Build a Scene Rolling Hills and Mountain Tops a lot…and I’m so excited that I have Rolling Clouds to add to the mix!
