Snowman Treat Bags

Hi guys, I’m back today to share an adorable project using the Nesting Tag Dies.  These little bags are perfect for little treats or even, a gift card.  Here’s today’s cast of characters.

Nov2014.1

First I die cut the tags.  As you can see, the “hole” die fits perfectly in the spot that’s notched out on top.  Then I stamped the cute snowman on each tag (stamps are Frozen Friends, by Newton’s Nook).

Nov2014.2

I colored each snowman with Copics to match the treat bags.

Nov2014.3

I found these sweet little clothespins on clearance at Michaels, however, any clothespin would work with them.  I added a bit of ribbon to the tag, put my treat (in this case, some washi tape) in the bag, and closed it with a clothespin.

I love how these little bags turned out. They were quick and easy to make, and sure to be a big hit!

Merry Christmas

I’m back with a card I made using the Taylored Expressions Pinterest boards as inspiration.  For today’s card, I used Joan’s card as my inspiration.  I love all the white with the pop of red and green.  The embossing folder really stands out to me with all the white….I love it!

I used Winter Flurry embossing folder as my background.  What I love about these embossing folders is that it covers the whole A2 card (if you want it to)!  Because I love the red and green on white, I decided to keep the color scheme, even if it meant red snowflakes!

The sleigh image is from Sparkle & Cheer and I stamped it in Versamark and dusted Perfect Pearls in gold over it.  I love how subtle (and shimmery) it is.  I wanted my sentiment to pop and the Perfect Pearls worked well for this.

Hi guys, I’m back today with a fun embossing technique called Embossed Embossing. If you’ve never used this technique before, here’s a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers to get you started.  For my Embossed Embossing, I used the Harlequin embossing folder and added white embossing powder to it.  I love how the white looks as my background.

ShellyEmbossingFolder11.12.1

Can you believe I didn’t stamp at all on this card?  I loaded it up with dies and think it’s a fun alternative to using stamps this time.  I used On Dasher On Dancer, Label Stacklets 6, Evergreens and Mitten Garland.

ShellyEmbossingFolder11.12.2

If you haven’t tried this technique before, go give it a try!  I had a lot of fun with it and hope you do too.  Thanks for stopping by!

It’s Day 3 of our Sneak Peeks and I had so much fun creating my projects.  Today I have these sweet place cards, perfect for the upcoming holidays!  These place cards were made with Take Your Place and the lovely image is from Set the Season.

Take Your Place

What do you think about the fork, spoon and knife?  They’re also going to be released tomorrow, Bon Appetit.  I cut them with metal card stock to resemble real silverware.

The background was created with Loop-de-loo Cutting Plate.  Don’t you love the detail in this cutting plate?

I added a few sequins…just for good measure, and maybe, a little sparkle.  :)

It’s Day 2 of our Sneak Peeks and I can’t wait to share my projects today!  First i have these tags I made Build A Tag.  Build a Tag is an amazing die set that has several coordinating elements for these sweet tags!  I absolutely fell in love with this die set and have a feeling you will too!

ShellyBuildATagTues.2

I started out by die cutting the tag and using Scattered Leaves Embossing Folder with it.  See how nice and deep the impression is?  I love this embossing folder, it’s so pretty!  The little Maple leaf circle is also a part of the tag set.  It can be used together or separately for 3 different looks.

ShellyBuildATagTues.1

I used the star border again from Skinny Mini Borders and die cut it with felt.  It cut like buttah and was super easy to do!

ShellyBuildATagTues.4

All the images are from this super cute stamp set, Tag Along Autumn and it has coordinating dies.  Below you can see where I used the Maple leaf by itself.

ShellyBuildATagTues.5

My 2nd card uses a previously released set, A Bushel & A Peck.  This month the coordinating dies are being released and I’m so happy about that!  Once again, I used Scattered Leaves Embossing Folder and added a few acorns from Tag Along Autumn.

Can you believe it’s time for Sneak Peeks again?  This month we are introducing two new Pocket & Pages dies, perfect for your scrap pages or cards!

ShellyP&PMon.1

See the adorable border of stars?  That’s part of a new die set, called Skinny Mini Borders and coordinate perfectly with your cards and/or Pockets & Pages projects!  I die cut the star border with a new card stock color, Dijon…such a yummy, fall, color!

ShellyP&PMon.4

There’s also something new this month…Punchables!  Punchables are pre-printed Circle Word Art that are circle words printed on cardstock that can be die cut or punched.  In the picture below, you can see I used “Love” with the picture of my daughter.

ShellyP&PMon.3

ShellyP&PMon.2

ShellyP&PMon.8

Here’s a close up of the two new Pockets & Pages dies, Banner w/Bonus and Medallion Showcase.  The picture of my husband and oldest son was great with the Banner die, as it was masculine enough for my boys.  I used another Punchables “Memories” in the Medallion Showcase and love the “blue ribbon” border!

ShellyP&PMon.7

My second Sneak Peek today involves this cute little gift tin!  Okay…I am such a HUGE fan of the Little Bits dies and how cute are these little silverware pieces?  This is Little Bits Silverware and that fork is the one that kills me with its 3 tiny tines!  I made a Thank You gift tin, inside we’ll include a gift card.  Do you have grandparents, a neighbor, or friend that you’d like to treat to dinner?  Do they watch your kids, or are they just great people who deserve a night out?  Ha!  You see where I’m going with this!

ShellyGiftTinMon.1

I used Small Packages, which is an amazing set of stamps that have a nice variety of sentiments, all of which coordinate with Tin Topper (new die) and work with the tin!  I embossed the background with Zig Zag and thought it fit well with the theme.  I cut a scallops square diagonally for my “napkin” and placed my silverware on top.

ShellyGiftTinMon.2

For the sentiment inside, I used In & Out Thanks and crossed out the “I” and replaced it with “We”.  I added a cute little flower and will place the gift card inside.
