So…what do you do when you want to make little Valentine treat holders and have these adorable little test tubes filled with candy?  You use Test Tube Caddy and You’ve Been Framed Valentine!

You've Been Framed - Valentine

I started out by making the caddies and added some sweet paper, Formula For Love, and die cut the frames.  I love how customizable these caddies are, winter treats (marshmallows, mini chocolate chips), birthdays and now Valentines!  I also used Diagonal Stripe Embossing Folder, as I felt it just added a little extra something to my caddies.

You've Been Framed - Valentine

Isn’t the new paper sweet?  Here’s a side view.  The caddies are super easy to put together and the little Valentine Frames make it fast and easy to customize!

You've Been Framed - Valentine

My 2nd card uses a new cutting plate that is absolutely stunning!  It’s called Hearts A Flutter and I spent a little extra time on this one…I really wanted to show what else it could do!  The cutting plate cuts all these little hearts and you can lift the edges of the heart (flutter hearts!  I love it!), but I used the extra hearts (included with the cutting plate) to add a little color.  What makes this cutting plate amazing is not only do you get extra hearts, but you also get this sentiment!

Hearts a Flutter

As a final step, I used Formula For Love Sequins and love how they add just the right amount of sparkle to my card!

I’m back for Day 2 of our Sneak Peeks and I’m so excited to share my projects today!  My first card uses this sweet image from You’ve Got Mail Valentine.  If you’ve seen the other releases, then you’ll have already seen the other You’ve Got Mail sets.  The Valentine stamp is so cute!  I love the little birds on top of the mailbox.

You've Got Mail - Valentine

That gorgeous embossing folder is also part of the new release, Twirls and Swirls and the embossed card stock is so nice and crisp!  The stamp fit nicely on Banner Stacklets 2 and I added a few sequins for a bit of extra sparkle.

You've Got Mail - Valentine

My 2nd card today had me squealing when I first saw the stamp set!  The super funny Grumplings are back for Valentine’s Day with a stamp set called Valentine Grumplings.  When I saw the little piggy, I knew I had to use him for my card.  It matched my coffee mug perfectly and it had me smiling the whole time I put this card together.

Valentine Grumplings

Here’s the back side of the mug.  I always think of Chicken Little when I hear this song.  My kids, especially my daughter, who was a toddler then, used to sing this song to death.  It was so cute!

Valentine Grumplings

This card uses SO MANY yummy new releases…Build a Tag 2 was the perfect place to start for my image!  If you saw and loved Build a Tag 1 for the last release, then you had to know Build a Tag 2 was coming, right?  Haha!  I love the Build a Tag sets as they combine the perfect elements for all things tags!  I added Banner Stacklets 1 for the sentiment.  This little piggy is so funny and cute!  The background embossing folder is Diagonal Stripe and the paper is Formula For Love.

Release week is once again here and I have to say that I absolutely loved this whole release!  My first Sneak Peek uses an adorable new die called Mini Envelope.  I love envelope dies, big and small and this Mini Envelope is the perfect size for a card.  I also used several other new products to create my card.  The sweet little hearts and “xoxo” dies are Little Bits of Love Confetti and make the perfect confetti!

Mini Envelope

I also used Postage Stacklets and I swooned over the dashed lines!  The background paper and sequins are from Formula For Love.  Formula for Love has some really great papers, which you’ll see more of throughout the week.

My 2nd project uses Sack It Hedgehog…ack!  This hedgehog was fun to put together and looks great whether on a card or as a treat bag.

Sack It Hedgehog

I used Sack It To You as my base and added a few fun elements…Little Bits Stamp of Approval and Heart Stacklets.  That adorable sentiment is from Punny Love.  Punny Love has some great coordinating punny sentiments…wait until you see this stamp set!

Sometimes All You Need…

Happy Thanksgiving! It’s a chilly day here in the Midwest and the house is warm, cozy and smelling wonderful! I have a lot to be thankful for and for that, I am thankful. Which brings me to my post today. :)  Have you ever looked at a situation with a fresh perspective and realized that it changed the whole situation or circumstance?  Having 4 children, I can tell you I have!  They each bring something special to the table and I appreciate having their perspectives to think about.

Today I used the super fun stamp set, Spectacular, and the coordinating dies, Spectacles.  I wanted to keep this card simple, and to the point.  It doesn’t get much better than that, right?  Haha!  I love the Little Bits dies and used Flowers & Stems for my flowers.

ShellySpectaclesNov27.1

Some pink flowers and Doodlebug Sprinkles added a sweet pop of color to my card.  I love this sentiment and find it to be true for a lot of things.  What about you?  I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Snowman Treat Bags

Hi guys, I’m back today to share an adorable project using the Nesting Tag Dies.  These little bags are perfect for little treats or even, a gift card.  Here’s today’s cast of characters.

Nov2014.1

First I die cut the tags.  As you can see, the “hole” die fits perfectly in the spot that’s notched out on top.  Then I stamped the cute snowman on each tag (stamps are Frozen Friends, by Newton’s Nook).

Nov2014.2

I colored each snowman with Copics to match the treat bags.

Nov2014.3

I found these sweet little clothespins on clearance at Michaels, however, any clothespin would work with them.  I added a bit of ribbon to the tag, put my treat (in this case, some washi tape) in the bag, and closed it with a clothespin.

Nov2014.5

Nov2014.8

I love how these little bags turned out. They were quick and easy to make, and sure to be a big hit!

Merry Christmas

I’m back with a card I made using the Taylored Expressions Pinterest boards as inspiration.  For today’s card, I used Joan’s card as my inspiration.  I love all the white with the pop of red and green.  The embossing folder really stands out to me with all the white….I love it!

f73f105e8b2159ec05c2838ada8f5354

I used Winter Flurry embossing folder as my background.  What I love about these embossing folders is that it covers the whole A2 card (if you want it to)!  Because I love the red and green on white, I decided to keep the color scheme, even if it meant red snowflakes!

ShellyPinterestNov19.1

The sleigh image is from Sparkle & Cheer and I stamped it in Versamark and dusted Perfect Pearls in gold over it.  I love how subtle (and shimmery) it is.  I wanted my sentiment to pop and the Perfect Pearls worked well for this.
