Hi everyone! Today I’m back with a fun card using Deco Foil from Therm O Web and a chance to let you know of a give away. Taylored Expressions is partnering with Therm O Web for a full week of inspiration and a chance to win some prizes! **Details on how to win are at the end of this post**
Today’s card uses Deco Foil in Lime, Lilac, Lila and Aqua, and Deco Foil Toner sheets. Foiling has been a fun trend and is super easy to do. I die cut my pieces with the Deco Foil Toner Sheets, placed Deco Foil on top of the toner die cuts, ran it through my laminator and had beautifully foiled die cuts!
Therm O Web has so many pretty colors of foil to choose from. Did you know you can foil without needing heat, by using an adhesive pen or Die Cutting White Foam Adhesive? I I have also used double sided tape with Deco Foil and had excellent results.
*TIP* If you see or feel any bumps in your toner die cuts, use a bone folder to smooth it out. This will ensure the entire die cut will be foiled.
Taylored Expressions will be giving away a Deco Foil Prize Pack and Therm O Web will be giving away a $50 Gift Certificate to the Taylored Expressions Store. Details on how to enter can be found on the Taylored Expressions blog and the Therm O Web blog.
Thanks for stopping by and have fun checking out all the inspiration this week!
Hi everyone, Halloween is right around the corner, and I have a fun Halloween card to share. Today’s card uses an adorable Halloween set, Halloween Doodles, and the Spiders and Web dies. I die cut each spider twice and used a 3D foam square (cut smaller) to add dimension to my spiders. A white gel pen was perfect for they eyes.
The background paper is from our new Matched Hocus Pocus paper pack. This paper pack is awesome and full of fun, Halloween designs for your Halloween projects. I embossed the spider web and sentiment, and added color by airbrushing the web with Copics. I love purple for Halloween!
Hope you all have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!
I used half of a Fabriano Medioevalis note card to emboss the feathers on. This is excellent paper for watercoloring and is so textured and yummy to work with. These embossing folders rock! They are 6×6 and nice and large, perfect for covering a whole card or 6×6 page.
Let’s take a closer look at how gorgeous this impression is. The embossing is nice and crisp, without tearing the paper.
Now it’s time to run the feather die through. I used wood paper and wrapped a bit of twine around them for a nice, earthy, look. I know my die looks a bit beat up, however, that’s what makes these dies so awesome….they take a beating and still cut perfectly!
I used a wash of yellow and red for my background and love how the two colors work together. These watercolors are Kuretake Gansai Tambi and come in different sized sets. This one is a set of 36 and the colors are rich, vibrant, and lush!
The last step was to adhere my watercolored feathers and feather die cuts to my card.
What do you think? I really enjoyed creating this card and can see this being done in a variety of colors, each with the same, beautiful, effect.

Hi guys! I’m back today with a card that mainly uses dies. I had so much fun putting this card together! If you’re like me, then you love anything tiny and little. I used Circle Showcase to frame my little scene and even though this was meant for Pockets & Pages Scrapbooking, it’s also perfect for cards!
The dies are Little Bits Sun & Clouds, Little Bits Flowers & Stems, and Grass border. The sentiment is from The Little Things and I thought it fit my scene perfectly.
Hi guys, I have a quick card to share today! It uses these adorable Key to My Heart dies. I love having a good set of key dies and and I cut them out of glitter tape for some “gotta have it” sparkle! The sentiment is from Love Makes the World Go Round and is one of my favorite sentiments! The new Square Block Cutting Plate made the perfect layering mat for the sentiment and it’s a simple card to make for someone you love.
