Hi guys, I’m back with a super sweet card that shows how easy it is to use pattern paper to create a scene.  For today’s project I used Door to Door, Door to Door Roof, Door to Door Winter Decor, Door to Door Decor and Door to Door Molding, and Build a Scene Christmas Paper Pack to create my cozy look.

I really love how Door to Door Molding has the cut out windows.  I chose the tree and fireplace pattern paper so we would be able to get a ‘cozy view’ of the living room.  I always find it cozy in the winter to drive by homes and see the Christmas trees lit up.  I also used the green polka dotted pattern paper from the same paper pack for the garland and the layering piece on the wreath.   It may be hard to see, but I really like how the roof and molding have the embossed lines on them.

I hope you all have a great week, thanks for stopping by!

Hi guys, it’s Release Day (YAY!) and all of the new products are now available at Taylored Expressions.  I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this month’s release.

I am not one to usually use pink as a Christmas color but I wanted to step outside the box and give it a try.  I used an previously released stamp set, Simply Stamped Pinecones along with a new release, Ornamental and Die Combo, for my card.  I used Playful Patterns paper pack and Stitched Oval Stacklets to frame my images.  I stamped the pinecones and pine branches and put vellum over the image.  I love how it softens the look!

I used a sentiment from Ornamental and stamped it directly onto the vellum, then added a few sequins and the ornaments.

I finished the card by adhering the ornaments with foam tape.  I love dimension in my projects!  I hope you’ll go take a peek at the new goodies being released today.  Thanks for stopping by!

It’s Release Day and all the new products are now available at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you’re as excited about this release a I am.  It has truly been a fun week seeing what the rest of the Creative Team has come up with.  Today I’m using Ornaments and Ornaments Accessories.  I die cut the ornaments with gold metallic card stock and love the festive look they have.

ShellyOrnamentOverlaysThurs.1

The sentiment is from In & Out Christmas and I inked only the word Peace.  I love it when I find more than one way to use something.  🙂

ShellyOrnamentOverlaysThurs.2

The sequins added a nice touch.  I see so many ideas using these ornaments and I love that there are five different ornaments that come in this set.

Hi guys, it’s Day 3 of our Sneak Peeks I hope you are as excited as I am, seeing all these Christmas and winter goodies!  In addition to my two cards, I have another sneak you don’t want to miss!

My first card uses this super adorable set, Critters on Ice & Die Combo.  Okay people, for real…you need this set!  Look at how cute these critters are!  I used Shake It Up and Stitched Circle Stacklets with Build a Scene Rolling Hills.  I love this snowflake paper from Build a Scene Christmas and I probably would have used it on every project I had if I had enough of it, lol!

ShellyCrittersOnIceWed.1

The background was embossed with Nordic Holiday Embossing Folder and I just love how it!  The little ribbon is a small die from Simply Stamped Pinecones Die Combo and works well for more than ornaments!

ShellyCrittersOnIceWed.3

My second card uses Peek a Boo Christmas & Die Combo and look…Peek a Boo Squares!  The stamps in Peek a Boo Christmas were meant to coordinate with Peek a Boo Squares and even the sentiment fits well.  I embossed the sentiment and used Build a Scene Rolling Hills for my snow.

ShellyPeekaBooChristmas.1-1

I once again used Snowflake Confetti as my accent snowflakes and the gorgeous paper is Build a Scene Christmas.  You’ll also want to check out the festive gold cord…it’s so perfect this time of year!

Okay….now on to one more NEW and fun sneak peek!  Watercolor Panels are an awesome way to get into watercoloring.  They’re small and unassuming…and the perfect size at 3″x4″ to get you started.  There are 12 in a pack and I really enjoyed putting this together.

ShellyWatercolorWed1

You don’t have to do much with these panels to turn it into a card or a tag.

Hi guys, it’s Day 2 of Release Week and my sneaks were so much fun to make!  My card is made with Roly Poly Snowman and oh my…this ‘lil guy is soooo cute!  What’s more, there are a number of Roly Poly dies and you have to see the rest of the DT’s projects to see them.  I fell in love with all of them!

ShellyRolyPolySnowmanTues.1

I used Stitched Circle Stacklets for the body of my snowman and I think it’s so cute with the stitching!  The background was made using Build a Scene Rolling Hills and Little Bits Snowflake Confetti.  The sentiment is from a In & Out Christmas and features sentiments to be used together, the inside and outside of your cards.  Clever, eh?  🙂

My 2nd project is a Christmas party invitation that I made into a shaker invite.  I used Eventful Holidays along with RSVP to for the main portion of my invite.  I had fun with a variety of dies and sequins…On the Line North Pole cutting plate, Little Bits Tis the Season, Build a Scene Rolling Hills and Christmas Confetti.

Happy Monday, everyone!  October is almost here and I can hardly believe that it’s Release Week again!  I am SO excited to share my sneak peeks with you today, because we have an awesome and amazing winter release! This has to be one of my favorite releases. Without further ado, here’s my first project, that uses Simply Stamped Pinecones and Die Combo. Where do I start? Like the other Simply Stamped sets, this set features pinecones that have 3-4 layers to really give them some depth and dimension.  I stamped and die cut the pinecone twice and used 3D foam tape to pop it up.

ShellySSpineconesMon.1

I stamped the background with some of branches and used a red Copic marker to add berries to them.  I really like the subtle pop of color it adds.  I decided to use vellum to soften the background and embossed the sentiment in gold.

ShellySSpineconesMon.2

I love gold and silver in Christmas and winter cards and so I used gold metallic card stock for the die cut ribbon and gold cord to hang the pinecone from.

ShellySSpineconesMon.3

Here’s a close up of the gold embossing…it’s the little details in a card that make it stand out to me.

ShellySSpineconesMon.4

My second card is uses a fun new die set, Picture Perfect Horizontal.  This die set comes with two dies and I used the smaller die for my card.  This picture is of my daughter and my niece.  It’s a special picture as they don’t get to see each other often.

ShellyPicturePerfectHMon.1

I die cut it in white and I love that it says JOY!  I also loved stitched frames and this one is so sweet.  I layered the picture with Mulled Wine card stock and used the Build a Scene Winter Kit for the background paper and card stock.  Like my other card, I used vellum to soften the background.

ShellyPicturePerfectHMon.4

The die cut trees are from Build a Scene Winter Trees and the snowman….eek!  Isn’t it adorable!  That’s a new die as well, Little Bits Snowman.

ShellyPicturePerfectHMon.2

The last little detail I have is Snowflake Confetti and these little snowflakes are used for a lot of my projects this week.  It is the perfect size for smaller cards and projects.

Hello everyone! We’re less than a week away from Christmas and I wanted to sneak in here and post my last card for 2014 for We R Memory Keepers!  This card is simple to make and is so pretty with the glittery silhouette!

We R Memory Keepers 5

Here’s today’s cast of characters…Antlers, Banner It Kit, Nesting Squares, Evolution, and Carta Bella Winter Fun.

We R Memory Keepers 1

First I die cut the shapes using the Evolution out of glittery card stock and paper from Winter Fun.  Speaking of the Evolution, did you know that the new Evolution now has a motor you can buy to make it motorized?  Die cutting at the touch of a button!  It cuts like buttah and I’m in love!

We R Memory Keepers 2

I used Nesting Squares, but I see they’re not available now.  There’s also Nesting Squares with the rounded corner available, and I love how they look.

We R Memory Keepers 3

After everything is die cut, all I needed to do was stamp my sentiment (Campy Christmas, Taylored Expressions) and assemble my card.
