It’s Release Day and all the new products are now available at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you’re as excited about this release a I am.  It has truly been a fun week seeing what the rest of the Creative Team has come up with.  Today I’m using Ornaments and Ornaments Accessories.  I die cut the ornaments with gold metallic card stock and love the festive look they have.

ShellyOrnamentOverlaysThurs.1

The sentiment is from In & Out Christmas and I inked only the word Peace.  I love it when I find more than one way to use something.  🙂

ShellyOrnamentOverlaysThurs.2

The sequins added a nice touch.  I see so many ideas using these ornaments and I love that there are five different ornaments that come in this set.

Hi everyone, I’m playing along with the Share Joy Challenge this week and this is the fun sketch we’re using!

ShareJoyChallenge4

I used the Mason Jar & Lid die and wanted an Autumn feeling to it.  I was able to do that by adding some leaves from Mini Leaves and Build a Tag 1.

ShellyMasonJarThurs.1

I really love this sketch and the Clean and Simple look it has.  Adding felt to my card was a great way to “warm” it up.  For the two larger leaves, I used Kuretake Clean Color markers and I love how they blend together!  I didn’t use water with them and the color is nice and vibrant.

If you haven’t checked out the Share Joy Challenge blog, take a peek and play along!  It has been a lot of fun to see everyone’s challenge cards!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hi guys!  I’m back today with some inspiration I found on Pinterest.  I found a card that my fellow Baker’s Dozen girl made and I fell in love with her gradient cupcakes.  Check out her card HERE.  I really love the many shades of color that she used.  I wanted to make a card for my son (he just turned 13) as he has been helping my husband make YouTube videos and handles the videoing and all the editing.  We’ve been impressed with his skills and I thought it’d be fun to make a Thank You card for him.

My card uses an image from You’re My Hero and I used Sankari’s gradient cupcakes as my inspiration.  I wanted this rocker to be my focal point in gradient color.  I used the MISTI stamping tool to stamp each image twice.  I could have just stamped it once, but I really liked how the solid image looked with darker ink.  This image is fitting as my husband is a drummer and guitarist and I know my son will think it’s cool.  He’s so sweet and always encouraging of his mom, I love that about him.

Thanks - TE

I used Block Party – Thanks and love it with the bright pop of yellow.  Have you used these dies before?  They make it so easy to add a sentiment or note.

Thanks - TE

Hope you all have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday! I’m back with some Pinterest Inspiration and today my inspiration is from the amazing Kay Miller! I am in love with Kay’s ability to create clean and simple cards that create an eye popping scene with dies, stamps and color.  Today I used Oh Happy Day and Die Combo and I love the images in this set!  I colored them with Copics and used P&P Stitched Essentials and Label Stacklets 6 for my frame.

ShellyPinterestAug19.1

I sponged Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and added the Grass Border to bring my scene together.  A few sequins later completed the look and I was done!

It’s day 2 of Release Week and I have two more sneak peeks to share today!  My first project showcases a beautiful new set, Simply Stamped Daisies and wow, these daisies are gorgeous!  There are so many new things in this release that I’m excited about, take a look at this new embossing folder, Weathered.

Simply Stamped Daisies

I love how these stamps are layered…they give the flowers and leaves such a nice contrast!  The tag is Build a Tag 5 and I’m loving the stitched border.  I’m also loving the sentiment and font used for Simply Stamped Daisies, and it was a perfect fit for in my tag.

Simply Stamped Daisies My second project uses a sentiment stamp set, Free Spirit, and it has a nice variety of sentiments.  It’s a great all around set for a number of occasions.  I used Happy Birthday for my card today, coming from a big family, I can never have enough birthday cards on hand.  I love this script…I’m a fountain pen lover and this reminds me of something that was handwritten.  I used Frame in Frame Cutting Plate for my frame and Fine Feathers as my accent pieces.

Free Spirit

A few sequins from Build a Scene Sequins and Build a Scene Halloween Sequins (for the stars) were just what I needed to make a shaker card.

Free Spirit I cut the frame several times out of 3 different colors of card stock (I was going for a gradient look), Salt Water Taffy, Cookie Monster and Sprinkles.

Free Spirit

I really like how Fine Feathers has several different sizes of feathers to use.

Hey, guys, it’s Release Day and all of the new products are available!  I can’t tell you how much I loved this release and all the fun I had with it!  Today’s post uses Berry Special and Little Bits Fruit for my mini 3×3 cards.

ShellyBerrySpecialThurs1

I used Bead Board Embossing Folder for two of my mini cards.  I just think these Little Bits Fruit dies are the sweetest! Build a Tag 2 provided the cute squares for the fruit.

Inside each of the cards are the sentiments that match them.  Who wouldn’t love to find one of these notes tucked away somewhere?

Hi, guys!  It’s the 2nd day of Release Week and I have 2 more sneak peeks to share with you!  This card is perfect for Father’s Day and is from a new set called, My Favorite Dad.  How many can relate to this sentiment?  Ha!  I was one of seven kids growing up and there was always a debate on who the favorite child was.  LOL!  It was always in good fun and so, when I saw this sentiment, I had to go with it!

ShellyMyFavoriteDadWed1

There are some fabulous new products on my card…Summer Nights Matched Kit (LOVE this paper kit!) Brick Embossing Folder, Build a Tag 4 and Little Bits Follow Suit.  I also had to add a slight feminine touch with Mix & Match Mini Bows, but feel like I was able to get away with it due to the masculine colors!  😉

ShellyMyFavoriteDadWed2

My 2nd card uses Starry Night Cutting Plate and can I tell you how much I love this cutting plate?  It has so many possibilities with it and I paired it with Downtown Border...another amazing new product.  I layered Starry Night with Salt Water Taffy and then used some glitter card stock for some sparkly stars.

ShellyStarryNightTues1

I stamped the sentiment (Of Thee I Sing) onto Banner Stacklets 2 and adhered it with a few extra stars.
