Hello everyone! We’re less than a week away from Christmas and I wanted to sneak in here and post my last card for 2014 for We R Memory Keepers!  This card is simple to make and is so pretty with the glittery silhouette!

We R Memory Keepers 5

Here’s today’s cast of characters…Antlers, Banner It Kit, Nesting Squares, Evolution, and Carta Bella Winter Fun.

We R Memory Keepers 1

First I die cut the shapes using the Evolution out of glittery card stock and paper from Winter Fun.  Speaking of the Evolution, did you know that the new Evolution now has a motor you can buy to make it motorized?  Die cutting at the touch of a button!  It cuts like buttah and I’m in love!

We R Memory Keepers 2

I used Nesting Squares, but I see they’re not available now.  There’s also Nesting Squares with the rounded corner available, and I love how they look.

We R Memory Keepers 3

After everything is die cut, all I needed to do was stamp my sentiment (Campy Christmas, Taylored Expressions) and assemble my card.

Hi guys, I’m back today to share an adorable project using the Nesting Tag Dies.  These little bags are perfect for little treats or even, a gift card.  Here’s today’s cast of characters.

Nov2014.1

First I die cut the tags.  As you can see, the “hole” die fits perfectly in the spot that’s notched out on top.  Then I stamped the cute snowman on each tag (stamps are Frozen Friends, by Newton’s Nook).

Nov2014.2

I colored each snowman with Copics to match the treat bags.

Nov2014.3

I found these sweet little clothespins on clearance at Michaels, however, any clothespin would work with them.  I added a bit of ribbon to the tag, put my treat (in this case, some washi tape) in the bag, and closed it with a clothespin.

I love how these little bags turned out. They were quick and easy to make, and sure to be a big hit!

Hi guys, I’m back with a sweet gratitude card that could also be customized with other sentiments. Here’s today’s cast of characters, Feather Embossing Folders, Banner It Kit and the Rose Shape Die.

Oct2014.1

I started out by running my card stock through the Evolution with the embossing folder.  Guess what?  All the embossing folders are 20% off right now…and if you use my code POP, you’ll receive an extra 20% off at checkout.

Oct2014.2

My next step was to cut the banner.  I cut the bottom layer out of card stock that coordinates with the rose and layering piece.

Oct2014.4

Here’s how the banner will look layered.

Oct2014.5

Next I die cut and assembled the rose.

Oct2014.6

You can stamp any sentiment in the banner area…mine is from Chit Chat (Paper Smooches).

Oct2014.7

Here’s the completed card.  I love how dies and embossing folders can create a quick and easy card.  You can use any combination of colors, papers and sentiments to create a truly customized look!

Don’t forget that my readers can use the code POP to receive 20% off their total order at We R.

I love my Feather die from We R and thought I’d create a card that uses those feathers along with the Feather Embossing Folder.  Let’s take a look at the cast of characters for today’s card…

Sept2014.1

I used half of a Fabriano Medioevalis note card to emboss the feathers on.  This is excellent paper for watercoloring and is so textured and yummy to work with.  These embossing folders rock!  They are 6×6 and nice and large, perfect for covering a whole card or 6×6 page.

Sept2014.2

Let’s take a closer look at how gorgeous this impression is.  The embossing is nice and crisp, without tearing the paper.

Sept2014.3

Now it’s time to run the feather die through.  I used wood paper and wrapped a bit of twine around them for a nice, earthy, look.  I know my die looks a bit beat up, however, that’s what makes these dies so awesome….they take a beating and still cut perfectly!

Sept2014.4

I used a wash of yellow and red for my background and love how the two colors work together.  These watercolors are Kuretake Gansai Tambi and come in different sized sets.  This one is a set of 36 and the colors are rich, vibrant, and lush!

Sept2014.5

Sept2014.6

The last step was to adhere my watercolored feathers and feather die cuts to my card.

Sept2014.8

What do you think?  I really enjoyed creating this card and can see this being done in a variety of colors, each with the same, beautiful, effect.

Sept2014.7

If you see something you like, head on over to We R…my readers get a special discount of 20% on everything in their cart by using the code POP.  Hope you have fun creating.  Thanks for stopping by!

July2014.5

Hi everyone!  I’m back with a super fun card that would be perfect for a friend, other half, neighbor…or whomever you “click with”!  Today’s cast of characters is the Camera Shape Die, a few sequins, a stamp and Wink of Stella glitter pen.

July2014.1

I used my Evolution to die cut the Camera.  Dimensionals helped my layers come alive.

July2014.2

TIP:  If you find your card stock is snug in the die, use wax paper and layer your card stock on top of that…you’ll get a die cut that easily pops out. Easy peasy!  Or, if you have extra foam ejection sheets, that would work well too.

July2014.3

Once my layers were die cut, I attached them and used a Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some sparkle to the lens and flash.

July2014.4

I added some sparkle with a Wink of Stella glitter pen and stamped the sentiment (Paper Smooches).

July2014.7

A few sequins later and my card is complete! Hope you enjoyed today’s card!  Don’t forget that you can get 20% off your total at checkout by using my special code, POP.

Thanks for stopping by!

June2014.9

Hi guys, I’m back today with a fresh and fun card using some new products from We R (formerly Lifestyle Crafts).

June2014.1

Today’s cast of characters include 2 new dies, Monarch and Chevrons, and stamps.

June2014

First I die cut the Monarch Butterflies…twice out of card stock and once out of vellum.

June2014.3

TIP:  If your die cut is “tight” and hard to get out, use waxed paper between the die and card stock and it will cut and release like buttah!

June2014.4

I placed the vellum in the middle to create a soft and dimensional look.

June2014.6

I then used these new Cut Outs, Chevrons,  which are perfectly sized for cards, and die cut it twice…to cover a larger area on my card base.  Post it notes worked perfectly for holding it in place.

June2014.7

All that was left was to stamp the sentiment (Botanical Silhouettes by PTI, no longer available), attach a piece of card stock behind my chevron cut outs, and adhere the Monarch.

June2014.8

Easy peasy!  Don’t forget that my readers are able to save 20% at checkout by using the code POP on ANY products at We R.  Thanks for stopping by!

June2014.10
