Hello everyone! We’re less than a week away from Christmas and I wanted to sneak in here and post my last card for 2014 for We R Memory Keepers! This card is simple to make and is so pretty with the glittery silhouette!
First I die cut the shapes using the Evolution out of glittery card stock and paper from Winter Fun. Speaking of the Evolution, did you know that the new Evolution now has a motor you can buy to make it motorized? Die cutting at the touch of a button! It cuts like buttah and I’m in love!
I used Nesting Squares, but I see they’re not available now. There’s also Nesting Squares with the rounded corner available, and I love how they look.
After everything is die cut, all I needed to do was stamp my sentiment (Campy Christmas, Taylored Expressions) and assemble my card.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season! Don’t forget if you see something at We R, you can save 20% by using my special code, POP, for my readers, at checkout. Thanks for stopping by!
I started out by running my card stock through the Evolution with the embossing folder. Guess what? All the embossing folders are 20% off right now…and if you use my code POP, you’ll receive an extra 20% off at checkout.
My next step was to cut the banner. I cut the bottom layer out of card stock that coordinates with the rose and layering piece.
Here’s how the banner will look layered.
Next I die cut and assembled the rose.
You can stamp any sentiment in the banner area…mine is from Chit Chat (Paper Smooches).
Here’s the completed card. I love how dies and embossing folders can create a quick and easy card. You can use any combination of colors, papers and sentiments to create a truly customized look!

I used half of a Fabriano Medioevalis note card to emboss the feathers on. This is excellent paper for watercoloring and is so textured and yummy to work with. These embossing folders rock! They are 6×6 and nice and large, perfect for covering a whole card or 6×6 page.
Let’s take a closer look at how gorgeous this impression is. The embossing is nice and crisp, without tearing the paper.
Now it’s time to run the feather die through. I used wood paper and wrapped a bit of twine around them for a nice, earthy, look. I know my die looks a bit beat up, however, that’s what makes these dies so awesome….they take a beating and still cut perfectly!
I used a wash of yellow and red for my background and love how the two colors work together. These watercolors are Kuretake Gansai Tambi and come in different sized sets. This one is a set of 36 and the colors are rich, vibrant, and lush!
The last step was to adhere my watercolored feathers and feather die cuts to my card.
What do you think? I really enjoyed creating this card and can see this being done in a variety of colors, each with the same, beautiful, effect.

Hi guys, I’m back today with a fresh and fun card using some new products from We R (formerly Lifestyle Crafts).
First I die cut the Monarch Butterflies…twice out of card stock and once out of vellum.
TIP: If your die cut is “tight” and hard to get out, use waxed paper between the die and card stock and it will cut and release like buttah!
I placed the vellum in the middle to create a soft and dimensional look.
I then used these new Cut Outs, Chevrons, which are perfectly sized for cards, and die cut it twice…to cover a larger area on my card base. Post it notes worked perfectly for holding it in place.
Easy peasy! Don’t forget that my readers are able to save 20% at checkout by using the code POP on ANY products at We R. Thanks for stopping by!
Hey everyone, just wanted to pop in and let you all know that HSN will be debuting the NEW Evolution Advanced!

It has an adjustable roller so with the switch of a dial you can set the machine for your project instead having to figure out which mat combinations to use.
The Evolution Advanced is interchangeable with a hand crank or motor option.
The tool folds up and has built in storage.
HSN will be offering a killer deal on it and there’s a limited supply…you won’t wan to miss this!
Hi y’all! Today I’m hopping with the Lifestyle Studios Design Team for National Scrapbook Day. At the end of this post, I’ll have more information about a Give Away, but first, I want to share a card I made using Pocket Scrap Dies…they’re not just for scrapbooking!
First I used the notepaper die and die cut it twice. Once out of patterned paper and once with white card stock.
I dragged out my sewing machine (which I keep at the end of one of my craft tables, lol!) and sewed along the edge two times. I kept the sewing unkempt to keep it feeling “homemade”.
Next, I die cut the feathers 3 times, one time each with aqua card stock, white card stock, and white glitter tape. I layered the white glitter tape feather over the white card stock feather to give it support, then layered it over the aqua feather.
A quick pass with the “Hello” die and I’m ready to put my card together!
Let’s put the card together! 🙂
Here’s the finished card!
Continue on the hop and go see what these uber talented ladies have in store for you!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I want to share this super quick and easy card I made using a few of my favorite products. Today’s cast of characters include a 2×2 photo mat die, mini heart from the Mini Takeout Box, Corner Chomper, wood paper (ARC crafts), You’re Brilliant stamp set (My Creative Time), the Evolution and scraps of burlap and linen.
First I die cut the photo frame and heart using the Evolution.
I arranged the burlap and linen piece at an angle…
Stamped the sentiment…
…and added my heart in the frame. I love how quick and easy this card was to make. Change the sentiment to match your occasion. These could easily be mass produced and are perfect to keep on hand.
