March14.5

Hi guys!  Today I have a quick card that’s super easy to put together!  The “hardest” part, or rather, the part that took the longest was getting the sewing machine out, but you could skip this step if you wanted.

Here’s my cast of characters for today’s card:  Evolution, Dainty Embossing Folder, Nesting Frame 11, Butterfly Border, Tape It Kit, Chit Chat stamps.

After cutting my card base to 4 1/4″ x 11 and folding it to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, I cut another piece of card stock to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and ran it through with the embossing folder.  This embossing folder is so pretty and goes so well with many different types of cards.

I then die cut 2 butterflies from some scrap felt I had on hand.  Felt cuts beautifully with the dies.  TIP: Use 100% wool or felt with a higher wool blend for clean cutting.  You can also use a shim of card stock if need be.  Frame 11 worked beautifully with the butterflies.  I sewed them in place, however, you could also use double sided tape or glue to adhere them to the card stock.

All that’s left is to die cut my banner and stamp it, then assemble the card.  A very quick card and so easy to change the sentiment to customize it!
