Hi everyone! It’s Monday and I’m back with a sneak peek from this month’s release. I have to say that I am SO excited, this month’s release is HUGE and there are so many YUMMY things to share!

My first card is from Butterfly Parade and was concepted by our very own Wanda! Butterfly Parade also has coordinating dies, Butterfly in the Sky. I love sets that have coordinating dies, they make me happy happy happy! Isn’t this one gorgeous? I embossed the large butterfly with white embossing powder and die cut all the butterflies with vellum. I used the Quatrefoil cutting plate as my background, but felt it needed a bit of color so the butterflies wouldn’t get lost in all the white. A simple line of color helped with the contrast.

Tip1

Tip: To get the Quatrefoil cutting plate to adhere quickly (and easily) I used 1/8″ Xpress It tape and adhered it to just the border of the cutting plate. You can see in the above picture that it fits perfectly. If you have layers to add to your cutting plate, then they also help adhere the piece down without the mess of glue.

My 2nd sneak peek uses Say What?, a  mini set that coordinates with another new die set, Say What Conversation Bubbles.  This is the cutest set and has 13 stamps to mix and match with the coordinating dies.   I used black embossing powder for this card and really like the black on gray.  I loved the Butterfly Parade stamps so much I used them with Say What? to create a pretty birthday card.
