Have you seen the new dies that Papertrey has come out with?  I love them!  For this card I decided not to use them with the coordinating stamp set and instead made my own flowers out of card stock and tissue paper.

I cut out out the flowers using Blush Blossom (one of my favorite SU colors), then layered it with vellum and cut a smaller flower (chocolate) for the base of the tissue paper flower.  For the fluffy flower I cut out a small stack of tissue paper using the die and put an old brad in the center to hold it together.  Then I sprayed (soaked) it with Glimmer Mist, used my heat gun to dry it and fluff it up and chalked it using Pebbles chalk (great stuff!) to add some darker rose tones.  To complete it I removed the old brad and added the flowered brad.

This is basically the same method that others have been using with the coffee filters, except I had tissue paper on hand.

The background was embossed with white embossing powder and the butterflies are from SU’s embosslit die.  Thanks for looking!
