Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend. We had a beautiful weekend, which is good since our temperature will be dropping (starting today) all week. I’m so glad we were able to get out and enjoy it while it lasted!

Here’s a little treat box I made using Snowflakes die, which is a gorgeous 3D snowflake with lots of layering possibilities and the Berry Container die. I cut one extra of the container border for the handle and filled it will some yummy treats for my crafting desk. Want one? :)

I used a little MS glitter for the snowflakes to make them pop…gotta love the glitter!

Here are the dies I used:

I made a snowflake card that doubles as an ornament. Kind of cool, eh? Lettering Delights has a cool snowflake ornament in their Holiday Gift Giving svg set. Using the Silhouette Cameo, I cut two sets of the same one. One I didn’t embellish, the other I added some texture, dimension, and glitter.

On the back of one of the snowflakes, I used double sided tape on top half of the snowflake. It may be hard to see in the picture, but the tape is on the top five points.

This is what the snowflake looked like after I adhered them together, with only the top half taped together.

Then I used patterned paper (K&Co) and attached another piece of patterned paper to form a pocket. Because this patterned paper blended so well together, I put a piece of white card stock in it so you could see. I added some silver cord and slid the ornament in half way.

The end result is an ornament that is taken out when ready to be used. It wouldn’t be hard to glue or tape the bottom point if needed and it’s a great way to keep some of the card when the rest is tossed in the garbage (and it usually is!). :) Thanks for stopping by!

I had some Papertrey fun this past week and love the colors in this card. I used Winter Penguin and Banner Builder (both PTI), the matching dies for both stamp sets, and the Spiral Notebook die. The background stamp used on the notebook die cut is a Scrapblock from Cornish Heritage Farms and the sentiment is from Tremendous Treats (also PTI). Interestingly enough, we didn’t have snow this year for Christmas in MN. It was quite warm for us as we hit 40 today. What a beautiful day!

Doesn’t this make you want to get cozied up by the fireplace with a good book, movie, or your iPad? This set is called Tremendous Treats: Christmas (Papertrey) and has the cutest images. I can see myself making mini 3×3 cards as well as more full sized cards. The heart tag and stamp are Tiny Tags, also by Papertrey. The tags and stamps are perfect for adding a little sentiment, but having it be a wonderful accent instead of the main focal point. Thanks for stopping by, stay warm!

I made this album with manila file folders, K&Co dp, and the Silhouette Cameo. Mini albums have so many different looks and this one was fun to make. The tags, flourishes, poinsettias, and ornaments were cut with the Cameo. I used Spellbinders tags and snowflakes and bound it all with the Cinch. These would make great grandparents gifts, filled with pictures and memories of grandchildren…movie tickets and other memorabilia of time spent together. Thanks for stopping by!

I love this new set by Papertrey, Love Lives Here: Holiday. It has such a warm, vintage, feel to it. I used the tree dies and Holiday Flourishes & Swirls (also Papertrey) to cut the trees out. The tree in the center was attached with pop dots for some dimension. What a wonderful set and one that I will be stamping more with!

You may remember my other card in my previous post that resembles this one. This time I added some DP (K&Co) and more layers to the snowflake. Tag and stamp are both Papertrey (Tiny Tags), dies are Memory Box Amira Flourish and Spellbinders Labels 15 and Labels 6. Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning! I had some time over the past few days to work on some cards. I love snowflakes and will never have too many snowflakes, whether they be stamps, dies, or cutter files. For these cards I used Spellbinders Create a Flake, 1 & 2, Cheery Lynn Cathedral Lace (for the wise men card), and Memory Box snowflake, flourish, and snowflake border dies. The white poinsettia is from Bosskut and is a digital cutter file. Both sentiments are from Verve stamps (they have excellent quality stamps and fast shipping!) and the Three Wise Men stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms. I bought this stamp well before they closed and sold their online shop, however, the new owners had their grand opening this past weekend.

I have always liked water reflection cards and decided that these little guys needed an ice reflection.   After stamping my main image, I stamped another image onto wax paper.  I turned the main image upside down and flipped the wax paper image over.   Being careful not to move the wax paper, I pressed the inked side down and got this soft reflection image.   The penguins were watercolored using Perfect Plum and Baroque Burgandy.  Silver Stickles was added to the scene to add a little sparkle.  The edges were sponged in Bashful Blue and distressed with a pair of scissors.

Stamps – Stampendous Polka Penguins, Wonderful Favorites, The Snowflake Spot  Paper - Night of Navy, Bashful Blue  Accessories - Stickles, paintbrush, wax paper, scissors for distressing
