A quick post today as it’s been a crazy busy past few weeks. Lots of doctor’s appointments, running around and in general, keeping up. :) I needed a sympathy card awhile back and used Cheery Lynn dies, PTI banner dies and stamps, and the small square is the Fleur de Lis die (Spellbinders). I cut a custom sized envie with my Cameo to fit the card as the banner makes it an odd size. Last year I bought a ream of Neenah Linen Solar White 24# writing paper to line my cards and found it works well for envelopes too. 500 sheets will last a long time! Thanks for stopping by!

This beauty is called, Green Lady, and is by A Day For Daisies.  I have to be honest and say that this isn’t what I envisioned when I started this card.  I debated whether I should post this card as I ended up giving it another go a few days later.  Here’s what I came up with the second time.

The close up is to show the layers in better detail.  I used foam squares to pop up the image.  The background stamp is a sympathy set by Papertrey Ink and was embossed with white embossing powder.  DP is retired and from Stampin’ Up.  Both images were colored with Copics and have Copic Spica pens to accent the eyes and lips. Thanks for stopping by!

I needed a sympathy card for one of my husband’s co-workers.  I wanted it to look clean and simple.  The inside says “Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.”  I used part of the Simply Scrappin’ kit Secret Garden and am pleased with the color combos in it.  Thanks for looking!
