Taylored Expressions May SOTM – Cutie Pie

Hi everyone! The weather is finally starting to get warm here and it will actually be in the 90s today! Yaahoooo!!! It’s been a chilly and snowy Spring and the warmer air is so very welcome!

My card today definitely reflects my mood…bright, cheery, and ready to wear a summer dress! How cute are these dresses? They are from May’s SOTM (Stamp of the Month), Cutie Pie, and they are adorable! I took it a step further and did a little paper piecing for the dresses by using the Key Ingredients kit for May. The KI kit includes Echo Park Sweet Girl paper pad and coordinating Bazzill card stock and ribbon. I LOVE this combination! OR, you can subscribe to the Deluxe Kit and receive BOTH the stamp set and card stock, paper and ribbon. What I also love are the coordinating dies, how sweet is this banner die? Of course, the sentiments fit perfectly inside and the score lines are already there for you to fold.

You’re a Peach

Happy Friday! Today I have a super yummy card to share with you from this week’s new release, Yummy Summer! All of the images this week are so sweet…makes me want something yummy to eat!

I colored Pretty Peach with Copics and used Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Doilies and Spellbinders Circles to cut it out. The sentiment I printed from my computer.

Lemonade Pocket

Happy Friday everyone! This week’s release, Lemons For Sale, is so sweet! I absolutely LOVE all the images in this release!

I made a pocket to fit the lemonade packet and cut the glass of lemonade out by hand. A little glitter was perfect for the ice cubes.

TE July KI

Can I just say how much I love Taylored Expression’s July KI? This kit features Cosmo Cricket’s Tea for Two, some lovely embellishments, matching card stock, stickers and gorgeous ribbon.

I stamped Bikes and Trikes onto Choice Snow White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Copics.

I finished the card with a Prima wood button and sewed a decorative border along the bottom. I love how finished the card looks with this kit!

My second card uses the same kit but has such a different look and feel to it. I love the colors in this one. I used Hangin’ Out for this card…don’t you love the little bumble bee? The mason jar is a sticker that comes with the kit and the pearl and button add such nice, subtle, details.

Cotton Candy For Me

Happy Friday, everyone! I had an interesting day yesterday as I had a mass on my foot surgically removed. Everything was going pretty smoothly until my surgeon forgot to show up. Yes, he didn’t see it on his calendar. Hmph. Once they got a hold of him, he was in pretty quickly and it was over in under 30 minutes. I think the part that had me in stitches (pun intended) was when the surgeon (who did my husband’s sports hernia surgery a few months ago) asked my husband (who drove me) how his groin was. The nurse had no idea the two knew each other and the face she made (complete with her eyes popping out) was beyond funny!

Okay, on with today’s post! This adorable girl is called Cotton Candy For Me. Isn’t this the sweetest image? AND, it’s also the $2 deal...who can resist?

I used Copics to color the image and a cotton ball that I airbrushed for the cotton candy. I love how realistic the cotton candy looks…nice and fluffy and oh sooooo yummy!

Juice Boxes Anyone?

How cute are these juice boxes? Lifestyle Crafts hit the mark with the Juice Box die. My kids were all over these when they saw them and I can’t say I blame them. They are excellent party favors and the perfect size to fill with candy.

This is the die with the labels. Love how you can choose the small squares or a fancier label. It was quick and easy to put together and worked well with Friendship Jar Summer Fillers stamp set.

Pinwheel Princess

After almost two days of heavy rain and thunderstorms we have a beautiful day in store for us. This beauty is so cute in her girly girl dress, blowing her pinwheel. It’s a part of this week’s release, Pin Wheels Are Fun. I used Pinwheel Princess and had fun bringing her to life. She would look great paper pieced too.
