Leaf3

I made a card a few weeks ago using another die, Meadow Leaf (Memory Box) but layered it to make it stand out. The impression plate (Canvas & Linen, PTI) is one of my favorites and I love the subtle texture of it! I inked the edges of the kraft leaf and adhered only the stems to the card base.

Smooches Bon Bon 2

If you’re like me, then you probably have lots of dies. I have old ones, new ones, metal and digital ones, love me some dies. This card uses a retired Bon Bon die from QuicKutz. Yum yum! I almost used the same phrase as my card, “Go To Your Happy Place” but then changed my mind. This sentiment is from Chit Chat at Paper Smooches. :)

Smooches Bon Bon

Fore Your BD 1

Do you know any golf lovers? This card uses the sentiment from On The Links from PTI and another QuicKutz retired die, Putting Green. Now, if it were up to me, I’d be adding bling somewhere…on the green or flag, but since it’s meant to be a neutral CAS card, I had to leave it be. Ha! Thanks for stopping by!

Yum! I love coffee/tea themed stamps and this mini set by Papertrey is adorable! Ever have those mornings where you roll out of bed and this is what’s on your mind? I treated myself (and my husband) to a venti this morning…hellooo weekend!

I caved and bought some new stamps (shhhhhhh!!!)…I’ll be sharing my Paper Smooches haul soon…stay tuned!

Sweet As Can Be

I’ve had this die cut hanging around forever (since last summer?) and originally had it on a mini card. I wasn’t liking how small the mini card was, and so, decided to make a new, regular sized, card with it. Do you ever rip your older stuff apart to make something new? :)

The stamps (and die) I used are Hanging Out and Baby Button Bits, both by Papertrey Ink. Seems funny to me that it would take me hours to essentially put this together, but in the end, I liked how this looked, better than my previous attempts. Thanks for stopping by!

It’s Wednesday and the weekend will be here soon! This was a quick little card to put together…as long as you don’t count the sewing machine being difficult! Ha! This card uses Up, Up & Away , Up, Up & Away Mini Sentiments, and PTI’s cloud dies. I think the sentiments in these two sets are so versatile and fun…perfect for cards for those loved ones who are far away.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

I found this cute little envelope box in the Silhouette Online store. The file is called 3D Envelope Box Landscape. It measures @ 3×4 inches and is so fun to play with! I love anything mini and have made more mini card sets than I should probably admit. I didn’t make many cards for the box as I was just playing around with it. However, the size is great for writing a personal note, without having to write a book.

The butterfly is from Cheery Lynn Designs, the hot air balloon is from Up Up & Away (PTI), the heart is a Quickutz die, and the feather is also from the Silhouette Online store, and is a file called Feather Set. I will making gift sets with this envelope box!

I wanted something sturdy for the box and used 110lb Kraft card stock (from PTI). The Cameo cut it beautifully. I set my blade to 5 and had no trouble cutting it. Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve been going through some of my stamps and apparently, have many that are neglected. Now how did that happen? :) This card was made with Year of Flowers Sweet Peas (Papertrey) and Wonderful Wings (Stampin’ Up). Papertrey’s Rustic White card stock has always been one of my favorites as a card base and I love it with Crumb Cake ink (SU). Background was stamped with Crumb Cake and the butterfly was colored with Copics.

Here’s another stamp I’ve had sitting in my collection for several years. It’s by Serendipity Stamps and has beautiful detail. If you’re not familiar with them, they have a gorgeous selection of stamps and fast shipping. I used Rustic White as the card base and added silk ribbon to finish the card. Thanks for stopping by!

I am great at doing challenges…late! This was for Papertrey’s Fifth Anniversary celebration. There were five sketches available and this was the one I was able to complete (even if I didn’t post it). The sentiment is from Everyday Button Bits (Papertrey).

This was also for a Papertrey Challenge, to use hearts. I used Heart Prints (Papertrey) and their banner dies. The center die is Cathedral Lace (Cheery Lynn) that I trimmed down to fit, and I added some pearls to complete the card. Again, I didn’t post either card but really had fun putting them together.

This last card uses flowers from Friendship Jar Spring Fillers (Papertrey) and the sentiment is from Mat Stack 3 (Papertrey). Thanks for stopping by!

I have to say that the more I use Papertrey’s anniversary set, the more I love it. I stamped the flowers in Purely Pomegranate and used Copics to add some shading. A white gel pen helped add a little detail and the sentiment was stamped on vellum. I used Distress inks for the sponging and did more blotting than rubbing to give the card some texture.

This card was made for SCS’s CAS Challenge and was a fun way to use brighter colors. The image was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen. Image (Butterfly Flower) and sentiment (Woodland Creature) are from Hero Arts.

I loved Paisley so much that I made another card with her. I combined two sets, Paisley and Bee Mine, to create this card. The sentiment is from Woodland Creature (Hero Arts).

It is really hard to see in the pictures, but Paisley’s hair, bow, ruffle, and shoes were cut with Silhouette flock vinyl and add a nice texture to her.

Here’s a card using a silver glitter gel pen. I converted my Silhouette Studio file and imported it into KNK Studio and used the gel pen to draw the flourish. Using an exacto knife, I cut some of the rubber grip off of the gel pen to fit it into the blade holder of the KNK. It worked well with this pen, but when I tried it with the pink gel pen, it wobbled a bit and left a bad drawing. I will have to try and figure out how to perfect it as I have other colors I’d like to use.

Both hearts are Quickutz Nesting Hearts and the sentiment is from Winter Schminter (Whipper Snapper Designs). It was hard to get a good picture of the silver glitter gel pen but it really is subtle and so pretty in person. Pink silk embroidery thread was a nice added touch…and I’m done!

This card was made using a flourish heart and antique key from Silhouette and were cut using the Cameo. I cut two black keys and adhered them together, then sprayed them with Krylon Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze for some added texture. I think tying the bow took the longest, but all in all, it was a quick card. :)

My last card uses one of my favorite dies (ha, I have lots of favorites!), the branch die by Memory Box. I made this one for my husband as we’re celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary tomorrow. I can’t believe it’s been that long but can honestly say, he gets better with age. The hearts are an EK Success punch and the stamp is an anniversary set from PTI.
