I’ve been wanting to play along for awhile and found a little extra time on my hands today. It’s my first time playing Tuesday Trigger and here’s the inspiration. Isn’t it gorgeous?

And here’s what I came up with.

I used a Krylon gold pen for the edges…it adds a nice pop in person.

Several layers make the image really stand out.

What do you think? I really had fun with the challenge. The butterfly is from Antique Flowers & Butterflies (Hero Arts) and colored with Copics. Looking forward to next week’s challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve had my eye on this stamp and die set for awhile now. I was so happy to see it at Joann’s last week and used a 50% coupon on it, which made it a great deal! This card was cut for something else but it worked well with the butterflies, so I used it anyway. I used Circle Nesties to cut the frame and adhered the large butterfly to the inside of the card.

The butterflies were colored with Copics and I love the dimension this card has. Next month I’m taking the Copic Certification class and I’m so excited! My coloring skills could use some instruction and of course, I’ve been a huge fan of the instructor, Debbie Olson, for a long time! Yay! I will let you all know how it goes, I can’t wait! I have to say that the more I use Papertrey’s anniversary set, the more I love it. I stamped the flowers in Purely Pomegranate and used Copics to add some shading. A white gel pen helped add a little detail and the sentiment was stamped on vellum. I used Distress inks for the sponging and did more blotting than rubbing to give the card some texture.

This card was made for SCS’s CAS Challenge and was a fun way to use brighter colors. The image was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen. Image (Butterfly Flower) and sentiment (Woodland Creature) are from Hero Arts.

I loved Paisley so much that I made another card with her. I combined two sets, Paisley and Bee Mine, to create this card. The sentiment is from Woodland Creature (Hero Arts).

It is really hard to see in the pictures, but Paisley’s hair, bow, ruffle, and shoes were cut with Silhouette flock vinyl and add a nice texture to her.

Here are a few more cards I made using Bosskut’s Poinsettia file.  These flowers are so easy to make and so very versatile, I’m pretty sure everyone should have one. lol!  There is also  a metal die of the Poinsettia that Bosskut sells if you don’t have a computerized cutter.  The sentiment is from GinaK Designs.

Every year I use these cute little owls in some way.  This year I decided to match his sweater to the poinsettia.  Doesn’t he look cozy?  Stamps are from Hero Arts, Basic Grey DP.

And finally, here is a fun way to instantly dress up a 3×3 card.  I used a strip of ScorTape and Martha Stewart glitter to add a little sparkle. Thanks for stopping by!

Owls have been so popular lately.  I like the sets I’ve seen so far, but none of them really grabbed me.  Well, last week I was in Archiver’s and saw these cuties by Hero Arts.  I had found an owl set that I liked enough to get!  Aren’t they cute?  These were quick and fun to put together, and I love the 3×3 size.  I even added some liquid applique to the cuff of the boots of the owl in the top hat.  The cardinal and frog card are from Stampin Up.  Thanks for looking!

This little guy is from Pink Cat Studio. I love these animals, they’re so cute and I love their expressions. I cut out the cupcake he was holding and gave him a big cuppa joe. Some days I need a cup this big to get me going! LOL!  Image was watercolored and accented with markers.
