It’s November and time for the Baker’s Dozen Studio Challenge. This is a monthly opportunity for us to share what makes our stamping studios hum. Each month we will have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.
The question for November is:
As crafters, we often talk about a hand-crafted Christmas. How much stamping do you do for the holidays? Do you mail hand-stamped cards, make gift packaging, tags, handmade gifts? Or do you stamp year-round, but not so much for Christmas? Please show us some handmade tags and share a tip or two on how to keep stamping fun for the holidays.
I love to stamp year round and for the holidays, but sadly, I don’t get a lot of time to do it. Making gift tags or special cards is what I usually end up doing. My kids love it when I make them special tags or cards and I love making them feel loved and remembered by doing that for them. I also make tags and cards for a few of my family members and friends. Today I made some “non traditional” tags, that is, tags with a little treat tucked inside of them. 
My tip would be to add a little something sweet, a little goodie for them to munch on and enjoy. Who doesn’t like a little something to pop into their mouth while opening their gift, lol? My other (real) tip would be to really think about the seasons and see what kind of dies you can use by thinking outside the box. For today’s post, I used the Library Pocket die as a “Santa pocket” to add something fun to my tags.
I used a variety of dies to make these pocket tags…Label Stacklets 3, Library Pocket, Basic Buckles, Very Merry Scallops, and Very Merry Outlines. For the image, I used an adorable snowman from The Cool Crowd and the sentiment is from Christmas Countdown. What do you think?
Here’s a close up of the pockets. The Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Squares were perfect for the pockets and yes, I ate most of the bag while making these! I’ll blame it on being 8 months pregnant and I don’t feel one bit guilty about it, lol!
