DetailzDies10

Happy Monday, everyone! I’m here to share a new product, Detailz Dies, from Lifestyle Crafts. What are Detailz Dies? They’re dies that cut and emboss and they’re gorgeous!

For this card I used Banners and Flags. I love the shape of the die cuts as well as how deep the embossing is.  The sentiment is from Moka Skylar (Taylored Expressions).

This card uses Songbird, which has this gorgeous cage and the bird is on my next card, below.  The mini butterflies are from Tag It.  I snipped where the butterfly is attached and added a small pearl to cover the perforation.  I love these little butterflies.

My last card uses the bird from Songbird and I love the natural feel it has.  Take a look at the embossed image!

Hey everyone!  I’m so excited to share with you Make It Memorable, the March SOTM, and it’s a gorgeous one!  SOTM(Stamp of the Month) stamp sets are exclusive to subscribers and are mailed to you each month.  What makes them special?  Besides the  deeply etched red rubber, they are made to coordinate with the patterned papers in the KI Kit Club.  You can subscribe to one or both as the stamps work well with the KI Kit Club or alone.  The best part is the SOTM stamps also have coordinating dies (sold separately).  Coordinating dies make cutting out your images SO easy!

I was thrilled to receive the stamps this month as they are beautiful and will be perfect for birthdays, thank yous, and for Mother’s Day, which is right around the corner.

For my tags, I used the sketch from DS92.  What a fun and gorgeous sketch!  I love all the layers and dimension in this sketch, thank you, Jen!

My tags use Banner Stacklets 2, Frame it Up 1, Layering Doily die, Medium, and MME Collectable Memorable patterned paper.

Happy Friday! We’re continuing the fun today and spotlighting some of our favorites from this release! All of the new stamps and dies are now available in the Fresh Out of the Oven department at Taylored Expressions. Be sure to check out the Current Special…if you love Oh Snap and the coordinating dies, you won’t want to miss it!

My tags use Vintage Dreamer, which was previously released as a Key Ingredients Subscriber Exclusive and is now available for everyone! What a beautiful set!

ShellyVintageDreamerFri2

I started out by die cutting the tags and embossed different images in white on each tag. Then I took Distress Inks and added some color to the tags. I made sure the whole tag was covered and then went back to the embossed images and rubbed off the ink that had gathered. After that, I stamped the rest of the tags with lighter ink for a subtle background.  Lastly, I added the Flutter-by butterflies…aren’t they pretty?

ShellyOhSnapFri1

My 2nd card uses Oh Snap! and I have to say, it’s one of my favorites! I love these cameras and all the different colors I’ve seen them in! I love how all the dies coordinate so well together, even the butterflies! I used Musical Swirls Impression Plate for the “photo” and added my elements to it.

It’s release day and all of the new products are now available in the Fresh Out of the Oven department at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you love this release as much as I do, the stamps and dies have been so much fun!  What are your favorites this month?

ShellyFilmStripBorderThurs1

My card features the Film Strip Border die and it’s a fun one! I also used Cupid’s Arrows dies for the hearts inside the film strip. Aren’t they a great fit? I love the black on white with a pop of red.  The camera is from Oh Snap and I used the coordinating Oh Snap Camera dies and a foam adhesive dimensional to pop it up.  I think the Film Strip Border die has so many possibilities but love how two simple hearts make it a focal point!

It’s November and time for the Baker’s Dozen Studio Challenge. This is a monthly opportunity for us to share what makes our stamping studios hum. Each month we will have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

The question for November is:

As crafters, we often talk about a hand-crafted Christmas. How much stamping do you do for the holidays? Do you mail hand-stamped cards, make gift packaging, tags, handmade gifts? Or do you stamp year-round, but not so much for Christmas? Please show us some handmade tags and share a tip or two on how to keep stamping fun for the holidays.

www.shellypop.com

I love to stamp year round and for the holidays, but sadly, I don’t get a lot of time to do it. Making gift tags or special cards is what I usually end up doing. My kids love it when I make them special tags or cards and I love making them feel loved and remembered by doing that for them. I also make tags and cards for a few of my family members and friends. Today I made some “non traditional” tags, that is, tags with a little treat tucked inside of them. :) My tip would be to add a little something sweet, a little goodie for them to munch on and enjoy. Who doesn’t like a little something to pop into their mouth while opening their gift, lol? My other (real) tip would be to really think about the seasons and see what kind of dies you can use by thinking outside the box. For today’s post, I used the Library Pocket die as a “Santa pocket” to add something fun to my tags.

www.shellypop.com

I used a variety of dies to make these pocket tags…Label Stacklets 3, Library Pocket, Basic Buckles, Very Merry Scallops, and Very Merry Outlines. For the image, I used an adorable snowman from The Cool Crowd and the sentiment is from Christmas Countdown. What do you think?

www.shellypop.com

Here’s a close up of the pockets. The Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Squares were perfect for the pockets and yes, I ate most of the bag while making these! I’ll blame it on being 8 months pregnant and I don’t feel one bit guilty about it, lol!

Here are the supplies I used:

Go see what the rest of the Baker’s Dozen came up with for this challenge!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Is there a more fitting day to be thankful? I hope you all are enjoying a day with family and/or friends. Today I want to share a card that reflects my thankfulness for all the wonderful blessings in my life.

www.shellypop.com

The sentiment is from In The Word and is one of my favorite sets with some wonderful Bible verses. Label Stacklets 2 is another favorite and I find myself reaching for it over and over. It fits this verse perfectly!

www.shellypop.com

I took the opportunity to use another new die from TE’s November release, Mega Leaves, and I love these as well! I embossed some of them with gold embossing powder and layered them to add a little depth. The patterned paper is Simple Stories Harvest Lane and is a paper pack that I’ve used a lot. The colors and patterns are gorgeous and work well with so many stamps and dies! A little distressing and Brown w/Cream Dot ribbon and my card is finished!

Here are the dies I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you all are having a wonderful day! There is so much to be thankful for, not only for today, but everyday! Hugs!
