Snowflake2

Snowflake1

Happy Friday!  I can hardly believe it’s the middle of December, there’s so much to do and I haven’t even started yet.  *Grin*  I am a lover of snowflakes and this one by Lifestyle Crafts is one of my favorites.  The combinations are endless and oh so pretty!  I also love my glitter and what snowflake is complete without a bit of bling?  The background was cut with my Silhouette Cameo and is a file from the Silhouette online store.   I don’t remember the name of the file (I have over 10k files) as it was cut last year for another project, I’m sorry in advance as I know it’s one that will be asked about.

My ornament also uses the 3D Snowflakes and I added a bow from the Knotty Gift Set.  This is another set of dies that I use a lot, the bows are great for everything from mini boxes to cards, photos, ornaments, etc.  Lighter weight card stock works best with the bow dies as it’s easier to shape the bows without making any creases or wrinkles in them.

Here are the dies I used:

Last year I bought a few Penny Black stamps that I fell in love with. I still love them! I made this card using the same two stamps but used vellum for the sentiment to overlay on the image.

It’s a little hard to see, but the silver card stock (a cheapie pack I bought at Michaels last year) gives it a nice, subtle, shimmer.

This is a quick, CAS card that’s easy to mass produce! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, everyone!  I love Memory Box dies and when Ellen Hutson had a sale on them a little bit ago, I decided that I needed to add a few more to my stash.  For this card, I combined Snowflake Ornament, Classic Ornament, Crisp Bows and the snowflake border.  I added Stickles to the ornament and bow to give it some sparkle and layered it on white card stock.

Here’s the inside of the card, the sentiment is from Rejoice. Very CAS, but that’s the way I like them. :) Thanks for stopping by!

It’s the first week in November and I am in awe at how this past year has flown by.  Well no time like the present to get started on those holiday cards.  This card uses the ornament punch and Holiday Window die from Stampin Up.  I used K&Co dp (Yuletide) for the ornaments and background.  K&Co has such beautiful paper, don’t they?  A few punched holly leaves and a button complete the card.  Thanks for looking!

Supplies: Rustic White, Kraft, Dark Chocolate card stock (all PTI), lace, Martha Stewart holly punch, SU ornament punch and Holiday Window Die, silver cord, jute

Yesterday’s Technique Challenge at SCS was Christmas Ornaments.  I tried this ornament last year when it came out with a tutorial but I couldn’t get my brain wrapped around it.  When I saw the challenge I thought I’d give it another try.  It still took me all afternoon, but after putting all that time into it, I didn’t have the heart to chuck it.  I used Fleur de lis by Spellbinders (did they change the small square die from Becca’s tutorial? My die is different) and Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and Pure Poppy  card stock.  I added Dazzling Diamonds to some left over pieces and adhered them to the snowflake.  The mini rose is made out of paper punches.  Thanks for looking!

Here are a few more cards I made using Bosskut’s Poinsettia file.  These flowers are so easy to make and so very versatile, I’m pretty sure everyone should have one. lol!  There is also  a metal die of the Poinsettia that Bosskut sells if you don’t have a computerized cutter.  The sentiment is from GinaK Designs.

Every year I use these cute little owls in some way.  This year I decided to match his sweater to the poinsettia.  Doesn’t he look cozy?  Stamps are from Hero Arts, Basic Grey DP.

And finally, here is a fun way to instantly dress up a 3×3 card.  I used a strip of ScorTape and Martha Stewart glitter to add a little sparkle. Thanks for stopping by!

I love my snowflakes and I’ll be the first to admit I have too many.  I am not complaining though, they are so pretty! I cut this snowflake with the Klic n Kut Groove, and used a free file from Monica’s Creative Room. She has some some gorgeous files! I used a Quickie Glue Pen and added Dazzling Diamonds to the snowflakes.  The cardinal is from Just Rite Stamps and was colored with Copics.  I outlined the image using Copics and Dazzling Diamonds and cut the image with Large Circle and Large Scallop Cirle Nesties. I didn’t glue the glittered snowflake completely down as I liked the ‘lacy’ look of it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Here is a beautiful file from Bosskut Designs .  You can also get the Poinsettia in a die if you don’t have an electronic cutter.  There are three sizes of each layer and I cut each layer twice. Each petal was inked with Real Red, then layered and pearls were added to the center.  The flourish swirls are from Quickutz (Revolution die), sentiment is from Hero Arts.  DP is K&CO, ribbon is from Papertrey Ink.  Thanks for looking!
