I found this cute little envelope box in the Silhouette Online store. The file is called 3D Envelope Box Landscape. It measures @ 3×4 inches and is so fun to play with! I love anything mini and have made more mini card sets than I should probably admit. I didn’t make many cards for the box as I was just playing around with it. However, the size is great for writing a personal note, without having to write a book.

I wanted something sturdy for the box and used 110lb Kraft card stock (from PTI). The Cameo cut it beautifully. I set my blade to 5 and had no trouble cutting it. Thanks for stopping by!

A Day For Daisies has a Cherry Blossom Baby/Color Challenge going on right now with this image as a freebie. I was so happy to see this sweet cherry blossom, I love cherry blossoms and made several cards. I wanted to make a a round card using this image but didn’t print enough out so I’ll have to come back to it. I’ve been going through some of my stamps and apparently, have many that are neglected. Now how did that happen? This card was made with Year of Flowers Sweet Peas (Papertrey) and Wonderful Wings (Stampin’ Up). Papertrey’s Rustic White card stock has always been one of my favorites as a card base and I love it with Crumb Cake ink (SU). Background was stamped with Crumb Cake and the butterfly was colored with Copics.

Here’s another stamp I’ve had sitting in my collection for several years. It’s by Serendipity Stamps and has beautiful detail. I am great at doing challenges…late! This was for Papertrey’s Fifth Anniversary celebration. There were five sketches available and this was the one I was able to complete (even if I didn’t post it). The sentiment is from Everyday Button Bits (Papertrey).

This was also for a Papertrey Challenge, to use hearts. I used Heart Prints (Papertrey) and their banner dies. The center die is Cathedral Lace (Cheery Lynn) that I trimmed down to fit, and I added some pearls to complete the card. Again, I didn’t post either card but really had fun putting them together.

I love this stamp by Penny Black. I wish it was made in three parts though, the heart, the branch, and the leaves. I suppose that’s my spoiled self talking…clear stamps have me very spoiled. As it turned out, I masked the heart and branches/leaves separately. I used Real Red and Cherry Cobbler (both SU) ink for the heart and Close to Cocoa and Old Olive markers for the branches and leaves. I also accented the leaves a bit with Copics. Edges were sponged with Broken China (Tim Holtz Distress).

This is my “oops” card. I wasn’t going to add the butterfly but apparently I can’t glue as well as I thought, lol! Underneath the butterfly is a smearing of glue and it looked pretty obvious. Thank goodness for options to cover it up with! I used the Cathedral Lace die (Cheery Lynn Designs) and trimmed it down for the focal point. Banner and Birthday sentiment are both from Papertrey Ink.

This card is a Silhouette card file and was cut with the Cameo. I edited it a bit and left only (and rearranged) the hearts. The sentiment is from Heart Prints Sentiments (Papertrey Ink). A pretty simple card and super simple to put together.

This heart is from a stamp set called Heartfelt (Tim Holtz). Love sentiment is from Tiny Tags (Papertrey Ink). Image was colored with Copics…another simple card.

And now, on to some organizing…

Susan from Mad Sky Designs posted HERE about organizing her dies and embossing folders. I went to Staples and had to check out that gorgeous Martha Stewart binder. They also had them in red and a beautiful chestnut color, but I loved this one. I bought some pocket dividers also from Martha Stewart, they were in the same section as the binders and came with sheet protectors divided in twos or fours. Each pack had 10 sheets and retailed at $3.99. Thank you, Susan, for the recommendation and post!

I love that there is a top flap to keep your contents from flying out the top. Perfect for dies and my smaller stamps.

Here’s a shot of the other style, divided into two sections. I bought the magnetic vent covers from Menards and cut them to fit into the pockets (@ 4.25″ x 8″)…perfect for my dies.

I used a Silhouette file for both of these cards, Flourish Frame. I edited it a bit to make it an “open window” card. I also added an embossed panel with dimensionals, as I felt the flourish needed a little support. The butterfly is also a Silhouette file and was colored with Copics and then given an outer layer of Diamond Dust (crushed glass). The rose was made with McGill paper punches and the stem of leaves was made with Spellbinder dies.

This card was made with the same Flourish Frame, as it is in the Silhouette store. I used black flock vinyl and although it’s hard to see in the pictures, the texture gives it a rich look/feel in person. This butterfly is from Cheery Lynn Designs and also colored with Copics and given an edge of Diamond Dust. Out of curiosity, I’d love to hear which card you like best. I like this one, with the black background.

And now…on to the fun discovery! If you remember THIS post, you’ll see that I used a white gel pen with the KNK Maxx to create the card. Of course, I love my Maxx but I also wanted to use gel pens with the Cameo. Since I’ll use a white gel pen the most, I used masking tape to create a “holder” for the Cameo. Guess what? It was a perfect fit!

This is a picture of it hard at work. I did a double pass to make sure the white was nice and crisp and am very pleased with the results. I will eventually get a pen holder but for now, this is a great alternative!

The heart and fancy snowflake files are both from the Silhouette store. I’m very happy with the results. I bought my gel pens (Gelly Roll) at Joanns in a three pack. You can also buy them individually, but I like having several to choose from in case one of them wants to die on me. So far, I haven’t had any problems, but when it comes to white gel pens, better safe than sorry!

Have you all seen the digi stamps at Tiddly Inks? While browsing their site the other day, I came across one of their newer stamp lines, Wryn and Friends. Talk about cute! I bought Grow a Little Love to give it a try. These are the two cards I made using this stamp. I printed the images with an HP Laser printer and unlike my inkjet, the Copics didn’t smear the ink, yay! I will be going back for more…these were fun to play with! The heart die and stamp are from PTI, Tiny Tags.

I made this shirt with heat press flock vinyl and rhinestones. This first picture is so you can see the flock vinyl…very cool stuff. My son is in gymnastics and he had a pretty big smile when I showed him the shirt. Granted, pink isn’t exactly a boy color, but since I’m wearing it, who cares, right?

Black clothing is hard to photograph without distorting the other colors. The first two pictures are truer to color but I wanted to show a “completed” shirt. I’d love to see your projects using heat press vinyl and/or rhinestones! I’ve made several other shirts with rhinestones and have to say, it can be a bit addicting…and oh so fun! I used my KNK Maxx for this project as I couldn’t get the file to open in Silhouette Studio. Thank goodness I have more than one software/cutter! Don’t forget to mirror your image before you cut the design.

I guess I’m on a Valentines kick. I used my Cameo to create this card, both files are from the Silhouette online store. The butterflies are from Stampin Up and I used Papertrey vellum to soften the flourish.

This card uses the heart flourish from the Silhouette online store, heart die from Quickutz, and the rose was made with Spellbinders dies. I airbrushed the rose with Copics. The rose is darker than I wanted but is still a nice contrast to the white hearts. Thanks for stopping by!

I have to say that the more I use Papertrey’s anniversary set, the more I love it. I stamped the flowers in Purely Pomegranate and used Copics to add some shading. A white gel pen helped add a little detail and the sentiment was stamped on vellum. I used Distress inks for the sponging and did more blotting than rubbing to give the card some texture.

This card was made for SCS’s CAS Challenge and was a fun way to use brighter colors. The image was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen. Image (Butterfly Flower) and sentiment (Woodland Creature) are from Hero Arts.

I loved Paisley so much that I made another card with her. I combined two sets, Paisley and Bee Mine, to create this card. The sentiment is from Woodland Creature (Hero Arts).

It is really hard to see in the pictures, but Paisley’s hair, bow, ruffle, and shoes were cut with Silhouette flock vinyl and add a nice texture to her.
