Snuggling

Happy Friday, everyone! Don’t you love how sweet this is? Mama and her little one, getting some precious snuggling time. This is one of this week’s new releases, Mama’s Darlings, at A Day For Daisies. The other images are just as adorable. I colored the image with Copics and accented the card with Spellbinders Rose and Floral Flourish dies. DP is from K&Co. Be sure to check out the $2 special for the week, Mama Kisses. Hope you all have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!

Here is my card for the CAS (Clean and Simple) Challenge over at SCS. I used the Rose Creations die by Donna Salazar (Spellbinders). These roses are simply beautiful and can be made to have several different looks. I also used a Sizzix die for the vine. Vine and rose were airbrushed with Copics and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink, Delightful Dahlia.

Lettering Delights is offering a great freebie until Sunday, Matryoshka Tiles. These are also referred to as textures (if you are using Make The Cut or MTC software) and are great for coloring in your cut files or for printing to use with your other projects. Take a peek HERE to see what else Lettering Delights has.

Thanks for stopping by!

Can you tell I love this set? I promise I have other projects that don’t use these butterflies, but humor me while I share yet another butterfly card. This card was made using Oh Hello Flutter, cut in different sizes. The smallest butterfly has glitter glass for some sparkly texture. I used Nestabilities to cut the frame and used vellum for the window. I love the light the vellum lets through. Thanks for looking!

This was made for the May KNK Swap over at Paperthreads.  I saw a YouTube video where someone made this by hand and decided to make a cut file using my Klic n Kut.  The tag book was very easy to make and is perfect for journaling those memorable moments or adding photos.  The owl and frame on the cover are both from Lettering Delights, Sweet Nothings and Banner Day, and Labels 1 (Spellbinders) in the center.  The swirly flourish is from Shelly’s Art, Flourish Set (part of the quarterly membership for May) and daisies are K&Co stickers.  Thanks for stopping by!

Isn’t this a fun card?  It’s part of Shelly’s Art Quarterly Membership.  You get 20 cutter files for $10…now that is a steal.    I didn’t use all the elements for my card, but you get layering mats and pieces…that’s .50 for over 15 cutting pieces for this one card.  The cutter files come in GSD, AI, KNK, WPC and SVG…a little something for everyone.

Now for the deets…the stamped flowers, stamped butterfly, dies and mail are from Papertrey.  The butterfly is a SU bigz die and the daisy is from Bosskut.  I used Smooch on the daisy and love the soft shimmer it gives.  I also used a Popkut flower from Bosskut and layered it with the Fleur Di Lis die from Spellbinders (inside).  The sentiment was stamped and cut out with more Spellbinders.  Thanks for stopping by!

I had some time to play this afternoon and so I combined two of my favorite things, butterflies and roses. I airbrushed the rose, attached it to the butterfly, then sprayed them both with Smooch.  The sparkle is soft and elegant.  The flower stamp and die are from Papertrey Ink, Larger Than Life, and the sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms and no longer available.

The butterfly is from Bosskut and is a part of their new Pop Kuts line.  It is available in AI, GSD, WPC and PDF format.  The beautiful rose is from Just Laury, Simple Spiral Rose, and is available in AI, GSD, KNK, WPC, SVG formats.

Thanks for stopping by, I always appreciate new and familiar faces and a friendly smile!

Happy Monday, everyone!  I needed a Papertrey fix and I had a request for birthday cards…you don’t have to ask me twice! The first card was actually for Make it Mondays, a Papertrey Challenge.  I didn’t quite make it in time (oops) but still had fun putting it together.  The butterfly die was cut with ScorTape, which made the glitter stay where it’s supposed to.  I love glitter but get a little tired of seeing it all over my face for the rest of the day…I know you all know what I’m talking about too!  Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your company!

Supplies – Friendship Jar Spring, Love Lives Here Dies, Larger Than Life stamps and dies, Double ended Banner Dies, Copics, Martha Stewart glitter, ScorTape, silk ribbon, white embossing powder, Nesties

Here are two more cards from Buckets of Love and Cattitude (both from TSG).  The flowers are making me hopeful that spring is right around the corner!  We had a good foot of snow over the weekend so maybe I shouldn’t be getting my hopes up too much, but a girl can dream, right? Thanks for stopping by!

Isn’t this little guy cute?  I did a little masking and used Buckets of Love and Puppy Love, both from There She Goes.  Buckets of Love can be used with a lot of their sets as the buckets are so versatile.  Pup was colored with Copics and the paper is K&Co layered with vellum to soften the look.  Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate every visit!

CAD is over now, but here are two more samples I made using Shelly’s flower for Customer Appreciation Days (CAD) at Paperthreads.  For the first flower I used a stitching template (Quickutz), which is the metal circle you see, and stitched the flower and border with embroidery thread.  I kept the flower as the focal point and added silk ribbon as my finishing piece.

For this card I made a fabric flower and  used fabric bond (for iron ons).  I left the paper backing on and cut it with the Gazelle (I used the regular blade).  It cut beautifully.  I cut two more flowers, one being slightly larger, and crumpled the smaller one.  I put the smaller, crumpled flower under the fabric flower so it wouldn’t lay completely flat.  I love dimension in my projects and this was a good solution.  I used Nesties to cut the mat in the same fabric and added a few layers and feathers to complete the card.  Thanks for stopping by!
