This post isn’t craft related…but was a big event for my 5 year old. She’s never had a hair cut (other than a bang trim) and she decided she wanted it cut short.

How do you say no to this face?

Here she is holding her hair that will be donated…she’s so excited! She smiled the whole way through, even through the shampooing.

And the after! We had the stylist give her a strand of hot pink/red for fun. She loves her new do…and so do I!

It seems that I, Miss Popsicle Toes, was given an award by my friend, Lisa.   Check out this girl’s blog, she’s beautiful and a Hero Hostess (so jealous!) and very talented.  I don’t have anyone to pass this on to (sniff sniff), but that’s mainly because I haven’t kept up.  You’ll enjoy Lisa’s work…go treat your eyes to some gorgeous creations!

I forgot to post my exciting news, I won a contest over at Whipper Snapper Designs.  HERE is the link. This will probably only be available to see (with my card) until the end of July.  I was so surprised when I got the phone call/email saying I won first place.  The two cards I posted, Watermelon Out Your Nose and Sending Love Your Way, were some of the stamps I chose.  I can’t wait to stamp more with some of the other stamps, hopefully I’ll get more done soon.

Yesterday I received an RAK (Random Act of Kindness) from my friend Carol.  Wow, did she spoil me or what?  I got LOTS (and I mean LOTS!!) of stamped images, stamped on Stampin’ Up! Whisper White and Paper Trey’s white card stock, a generous amount of blank card stock from Paper Trey (I have never used this before and already know that I LOVE it!), two beautiful handmade cards (isn’t this one gorgeous?), and some Anna Griffin fabric squares!  All of this was packaged in some pretty, scented, rose tissue paper. 

 I can’t imagine the amount of time this must have taken her to put together.  What a great surprise, thanks again, Carol!  I will have lots of fun playing with my new goodies!!!

Wow!  I have been nominated by Melissa for the Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award! What a surprise!  I think it’s fitting too…since my husband is a rockin’ drummer!  He recently played at Sonshine Christian Music Festival and had the honor of meeting some of the talented guys of Casting Crowns and Jeremy Camp.  And of course, had the privilege of playing with his own band Tom Hipps.  Check out my husband’s blog Twin Cities Drummer for more rockin’ fun!
