SOTMmay5

Hey everyone!  I hope this day finds you well!  We’ve been juicing for the past few months and I’m enjoying an apple carrot juice, yummy!  I’m back today to share a card I made using May’s SOTM (Stamp of the Month), Cutie Pie.  This is one of the cutest stamp sets I’ve seen and it’s available by subscribing HERE.  I used the coordinating dies, Branches Banner & Bloom for the leaves and banner.  I don’t know if you can see it but some of the leaves are on pop dots.  I like the added dimension.

SOTMmay4The gorgeous paper,  card stock and ribbon are from the May Key Ingredients kit and coordinate with the stamps.  So fresh and springy! If you want both the SOTM and Key Ingredients kit, you can save more by subscribing to the Deluxe Subscription.  It’s so exciting to get these awesome kits every month, why not give it a try?  There’s still time to get May’s sweet kit!  Thanks for stopping by!

Spring may have sprung for many of you, but here in MN, Mother Nature is still trying to decide what season we’re in! We’ve had rain, sleet and snow this past week and today’s cards are making me want spring to come quickly! :)

This month I’m April’s Guest Designer over at Petaloo, WooHoo!!!  Many of you already use Petaloo, but if you haven’t heard of them, they have beautiful flowers and gorgeous embellishments and ribbon!  Be sure to check out all the fun HERE.  Here are a few cards I made for them that use a few other products I want to share with you.

This criss cross card uses Labels Detailz Dies, released yesterday at Lifestyle Crafts. Detailz Dies are dies that cut and emboss.   Isn’t this label pretty?  I love how Petaloo’s flowers and brads coordinate so well with the DP, Bella Blvd Spring Flings and Easter Things.

Here’s another card I made for Petaloo using Lockhart’s Vintage Apron stamp. I love this image and paper pieced it with Bella Blvd Spring Things and Easter Things “Borders”. The adorable resin rose is a Petaloo brad as well as the Mulberry flower/brad, and the perfect touch for this apron!   Now take a look at this cool gift bag…

Laurie has come up with a brilliant and innovative way to present a gift bag and card with her Card Hanger Dies. It’s a wonderful way to make sure your card doesn’t get lost in the bag! Here I used it for my gift bag, isn’t it pretty? I love how the card stock I used matches my bag perfectly!

The Card Hanger Die was so easy to use and really makes my gift bag look polished, don’t you think?  Hope you all have a great day!  :)

DetailzDies10

Happy Monday, everyone! I’m here to share a new product, Detailz Dies, from Lifestyle Crafts. What are Detailz Dies? They’re dies that cut and emboss and they’re gorgeous!

For this card I used Banners and Flags. I love the shape of the die cuts as well as how deep the embossing is.  The sentiment is from Moka Skylar (Taylored Expressions).

DetailzDies7

This card uses Songbird, which has this gorgeous cage and the bird is on my next card, below.  The mini butterflies are from Tag It.  I snipped where the butterfly is attached and added a small pearl to cover the perforation.  I love these little butterflies.

DetailzDies6

My last card uses the bird from Songbird and I love the natural feel it has.  Take a look at the embossed image!

Be sure to come back later this week as I have one more project with these dies to share.  Don’t forget that my readers can use the code POP to receive 20% off their order, no minimum required.   I have a feeling these dies will be popular so grab them while you can.  If you get your hands on some, I’d love to see what you come up with.   Leave me a link so I can visit your blog!

Happy Monday! I hope you all are having a great start to your week. We are gearing up for another 6-10″ of snow today and tonight…oomph! Without sounding like I’m complaining, I’d just like to say that it’s time for old man winter to move on. *grin*

Amazingly, I found I had a little extra time over the weekend, so I had a little stampy fun. Market Street Stamps has such cute images and the stamps are top quality! These cards are made from Foodie Doodles, aren’t they adorable? They make me smile every time I see them, they are just too funny!

FoodieDoodles1

The card stock I used is 80# Neenah Classic Linen, Solar White, and I love it. It has such a nice texture to it and takes color from Copics beautifully without bleeding. It might be hard to see the texture in the pictures, but believe me, it’s classy! I bought a ream of it at Anchor Paper Co and I LOVE it! I wish it also came in 110#, but it doesn’t. Oh well, a girl can always dream, right?

I hope you have a fabulous day, thanks for stopping by!

I stamped the adorable pup from Signature Style on the back of my cards for an extra special touch…isn’t it cute?

It’s sneak peek time at Taylored Expressions! I can’t wait to share my projects with you, let’s get started!

Today I’m using In the Word, a wonderful set full of Bible verses that are perfect for so many occasions, or just to encourage someone special. This is part of the Lasting Impressions series.

Nov25

Nov27

I used a new die set, Label Stacklets 2 to create a vellum window and the inside of my card. I love these new Label Stacklets as they work well with images and sentiments. I stamped the flourish with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the verse in Versamark and dusted over it with Perfect Pearls Perfect Gold. The Lace Chain Border is another new die and it’s gorgeous! AND there’s another new set out to use with the Mini Tags dies, Many Minis Occasions. If you haven’t tried the Mini Tags dies and coordinating Many Mini sets, you’ll want to reconsider trying them, they are awesome!

Nov26

Nov24 Nov23

In the Word was also designed to work with the Mark Your Spot Bookmark Die and will allow you to create beautiful bookmarks, cards, tags and whatever else gets your creativity flowing! I used the flourish with clear embossing powder for the bookmark and added the cross to keep it clean and simple (CAS).

I just couldn’t help myself and created one last card using In the Word.

Nov29

Nov28

I used Label Stacklets 2 again for the verse and a simple flourish and pearl to accent it with. The patterned paper is Simple Stories Handmade Holiday and the ink is Peeled Paint (Distress ink).

This month marks the One Year Anniversary of the Embracing Grace collection of stamps illustrated by Emily Burger. To celebrate, the Baker’s Dozen is highlighting Emily’s very first set Love Grows Here. This is such a versatile set and the Baker’s Dozen has so many gorgeous projects made with it, check out the gallery!

Emily has donated two sets of mirror cards from her etsy store to go to one lucky winner (so you can keep one and give one as a gift.)  The winner will be chosen by a random drawing from all of the comments left on all the posts in today’s blog hop (One comment per blog, please.) and will be announced in Taylor’s blog post tomorrow morning.

I used the tree with the adorable owl on the fence. I love that you can customize this tree to be used for fall, spring, summer or winter scenes. I colored the image with Copics and added Perfect Pearls Perfect Gold to the leaves for a shimmery look.

Emily2

The image was cut out using Label Stacklets 1 and the leaves are from the adorable Mini Leaves die. The patterned paper is Simple Stories Harvest Lane, part of the October Key Ingredients Kit.

Leaf3

I made a card a few weeks ago using another die, Meadow Leaf (Memory Box) but layered it to make it stand out. The impression plate (Canvas & Linen, PTI) is one of my favorites and I love the subtle texture of it! I inked the edges of the kraft leaf and adhered only the stems to the card base.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a wonderful day!

Last year I bought a few Penny Black stamps that I fell in love with. I still love them! I made this card using the same two stamps but used vellum for the sentiment to overlay on the image.

PennyBlack1

It’s a little hard to see, but the silver card stock (a cheapie pack I bought at Michaels last year) gives it a nice, subtle, shimmer.

PennyBlack2

This is a quick, CAS card that’s easy to mass produce! Thanks for stopping by!

It’s time for the Baker’s Dozen Studio Challenge. This is a monthly opportunity for us to share what makes our stamping studios hum. Each month we will have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

The theme for October is:

Good things come in small packages! The holiday season is upon us and between Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukah, and Christmas there are a ton of opportunities to create and give little treats, gifts, and party favors. Please show us something you’ll be giving this year.

I have found that although my friends love it when I make them cards and gift sets, they love it more when I can fill their tummy with something yummy. I made a little gift box filled with pistachio cranberry biscotti. My friends always love a good treat to eat and I love to make it for them. This is for my girlfriend who is always doing something thoughtful for me, whether it be a phone call, texts me a funny picture, or shares her time with me. This is her favorite biscotti and I’ve been asked for this recipe many, many times. I also made some chewy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to go with it…and might have even had a few myself!

OctChallenge1

For those of you who want it, here’s the link to the Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti (All Recipes)…where I found the recipe years ago.

I used this TUTORIAL on SCS to make the treat box and the image and sentiment are from A Bushel & A Peck. The patterned paper is October Afternoon Cakewalk and it has such a nice, vintage feel to it.

Here are the supplies I used:
