It’s Day 2 of the Sneak Peeks and I am once again so excited to share my project. I seriously could have created all month with this month’s release, I’m loving it all!

My advent calendar features Christmas Countdown, designed by Taylor Van Bruggen. It is a wonderful set, perfect for the advent calendar!  It also works well with Very Merry, illustrated by Nancy McKinney, and the matching dies, which I also used for the calendar.  I LOVE these dies and used them to cut a lot of felt!

I used the Library Pocket die to put the tags in.  This die is so versatile and I love that you can use it for any time of year for any project!  I bought the poster board (more like mat board) from Michaels.  It’s 16×20″ and is very thick and sturdy.  I mainly used Christmas Countdown and Very Merry for the calendar, but also added Woodland Winter and Trim the Trees.  The pockets were adhered using Scotch Quick Dry Tacky Adhesive.  I wanted something that would be quick to use and strong enough to hold…forever.

Here you can see how I layered the tree die and curled the patterned paper a bit. The Project Pantry kits (Carta Bella Merry & Bright and Simple Stories Handmade Holiday) were perfect for this project and the patterned paper is My Mind’s Eye All Is Bright. Gorgeous papers in this pad!

My kids will have fun using this advent calendar this year! I found free printables on the web and used them for my tags.
