Happy Monday! Just a quick post today. I love this impression plate from Papertrey Ink but hadn’t used it yet. I colored the butterflies awhile back and thought they’d work well with the background. The tag is from Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags & Accents (another great die set!) and the sentiment is from Lovely Leaves, also Papertrey.
Are you sick of seeing me use this set yet? LOL! Thanks for bearing with me!

OMG! never ever do I get sick at looking at your beauties. I love everything about this card. Did you use a wood look embossing folder? I love the embossing and the blue of the butterflies. Clean, simple, and yet ever so elegant is what I love about your designs. Gorgeous!
Shelly
Oh goodness, thanks, Debbie! I used an impression plate (kind of like an embossing folder) from Papertrey Ink. It’s one of my favorites!

Hello, Shelly. I just recently discovered your blog. I have so enjoyed looking through it. Your cards are absolutely beautiful! I had never heard of “A Day for Daisies”, and I must tell you that I have completely fallen in love with the “Love My Bunny” set. I have never ever used a digital stamp before. Can you answer a few questions for me? Do you print your image onto whatever paper you want to use…thick paper if you want to use Copics or watercolor paper if you want to do a watercolor technique? And then you just cut it out, die cut, trim, etc… in order to mount your illustration on your card base? Do you have problems with your printer ink smearing when you watercolor or use Copics? I really really want those bunnies. I just love them so much! Thank you for your time. ~Bonnie
Shelly
Thank you, Bonnie, I really appreciate your kind comments! I love ADFD images and agree that the Love My Bunny set is adorable. I print my images on to Neenah Solar White card stock (80#) or watercolor paper. I also use a HP Laser printer, mainly so the Copics won’t smear the ink. My inkjet printer I had was hit or miss as far as ink smearing. Hope this helps!
Shelly
I forgot to add that I cut/die cut the image after I’ve printed it and adhere it to the card base. Have fun with their images!
Bonnie
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. I can’t wait to try my hand at those bunny images!

I’m a fan of PTI too! Love their stuff. Did you see the new release? I’ve been drooling over the farming ones. Love how your butterflies pop off the card. They look so real.
Shelly
Thanks, Alice, I love these Hero Arts butterflies! I did see the new release…and already have a big wish list.
