Cards, Stamping, Die Cutting, Paper Crafting, Digital Cutting & More!

Monthly Archives: October 2008

I have had this set for some time and have wondered what to do with it.  I have seen so many creative cards and projects, but I since I’ve been pregnant all my creative juices have flowed right out of my head! LOL!  It shouldn’t have, but this card took me a week to complete.  I needed an extra special card. Quilter’s squares were colored with Copics and then punched out with a 3/4″ square punch.  The background stamp under the layer of vellum is Boho Backgrounds (Stampin Up!).  I bought the pin, pearls and crystals in the jewelry section at Joann’s and added some ribbon.  I see that I made a mistake on it (do you see it?), but am hoping it will go unnoticed by the recipient!  Thanks for looking!

Stamps – Quilter’s Sampler & Sentiments (PaperTrey Ink), Boho Backgrounds (Stampin Up)

Accessories – vellum, ribbon, pin, pearls, crystal, Copics, 3/4″ square punch

I love this set Summer On the Patio by Flourishes.  There are so many cute ideas and themes you can use it for.  I embossed the images in silver and used Copics to color them.  The wine bottle label and the wine in the glass have Crystal Effects added to them to make them stand out.

Stamps – Summer on the Patio

Accessories – Basic Grey DP, ribbon, silver Liquid Pearls, Crystal Effects, Copics, Embossing Powder

I have several cards for at least a month that I haven’t had time to post.  I hope to finish posting them soon.  This card was fun to put together.  I colored the image with Copics and added some sparkle to the cups with a black Spica Glitter pen.  The embossed panel is Shimmer White card stock, DP is Basic Grey.  The stamps and ribbon are from Flourishes, and I added some half back pearls to the Primas.  It might be too much green, but every now and then it’s fun to over do it!

I bought this set awhile back and love all the possiblities you have with it.  Cupcakes are the big thing and I thought a cupcake tree would make for a fun card.  I used red jewels and put them in place of cherries, and highlighted the frosting with Copic Spica Glitter pens.  Click on the picture if you would like to see more detail.  Thanks for looking!

Stamps – Limitless Limbs (Pink Cat Studio)

Accessories – Basic Grey DP, circle Nestabilities, Spica Glitter pens, Copic Ciao markers, ribbon, red jewels

These cards are for the “Make a card & make a difference” promotion that GinaK is having.  You can see her post HERE.  My husband is a retired Marine and I felt a need to contribute.  If we can make it easier for those who are serving to keep in touch with their loved ones, it is well worth the effort!

This card is a spin off of the Sketch Challenge 195 (SC195) over at SCS.  I used Holy Triptych for the image, Playful Christmas for the background stars, and Mona Lisa Moments for the sentiment.  I colored the three wise men with Copics and then cut them out.  I thought it matched well with the specialty paper, which is slightly embossed.  Thanks for looking!

Stamps – Holy Triptych (Stampin’ Up!), Playful Christmas (Kitchen Sink Stamps), Mona Lisa Moments (Cornish Heritage Farms)

Accessories – Oregon Rain Drops, Copics, satin ribbon, specialty paper
