Cards, Stamping, Die Cutting, Paper Crafting, Digital Cutting & More!

Say hello and goodbye to this stamp set! It’s a new set called Fresh Cuts by Stampin Up. After a few attempts I have decided to trade it as I have major stampers block with it! LOL! This card took me waaaay toooo looong to complete.  For this card I stamped the the twill ribbon, sewed the edges and painfully added the jumbo eyelets. Have I told you that I LOVE these jumbo eyelets and if I could bring myself to do it, I’d use them more! The DP that was sewn is by K&CO, main colors are River Rock and Old Olive.

This is another paper pieced card using Bitty Baby Blessings (PaperTrey Ink). I added some 1/16″ mini eyelets to the onesie and attached it with pop dots. The background was stamped with Tres Chic (Stampin Up) and I like how this is gender neutral. It’s funny that I couldn’t get River Rock to work for me when it first came out (not to mention I didn’t like it either!). Now River Rock has become a staple so I will have to get more, more, more before it retires!

This card was made using some scraps that I had left over from a project last year. I love Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla together. For some reason, this did not photograph well, in person this card is very soft looking. The 2nd photo is more accurate, but unfortunately, not in focus.  I added Dazzling Diamonds to the center of the flower and because I ran out of Perfect Plum card stock, I sponged “Gratitude” instead of layering it.

Here is another card using Kitchen Sink Stamps called Pretty Petals. I stamped the petals into a flower shape and then stamped another set and cut them out. I overlapped the petals and curled the edges. I also used the leaf stamp to make the border on the card base. From there I added a few layers (cut with Nestabilites) to the flower. I used Cool Carribean, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip (all Stampin Up).

Last summer I made several backgrounds using the shaving cream technique. I hadn’t found anything to use the red ones for and decided it was time to get it out. I thought some simple black images would be best, although I think silhouette images would have been better. I used the butterfly from Touch of Nature and the sentiment is from Spiral Bouquet (PaperTrey Ink).   I love the variety that the shaving cream technique produces!

Okay, we’ve all heard the joke…”What’s white, black, and red all over?” I’ve heard two answers to this question…though I’m sure there are more. 1) A newspaper, or 2) a nun rolling down a hill. I know, bad jokes, but it’s my sleep deprived attempt to add some fun to your life! LOL!

So, here is a simple card using Ruby Red ink and Far East by Lizzie Anne Designs. I know it is a rather simple card but that’s what I like about it. I used 1/8″ black grosgrain ribbon for the stripes and some black brads to finish the card. The main image is on dimensionals. Thanks for looking!

No matter how hard I tried, I just could not get a good picture of this! Sorry! This was for a friend’s birthday. It reminds me of her in every way…sweet, upbeat and fun to be around. I used Fabulous Fruits, Amazing to Zany, and Define Your Life (all Stampin Up) to complete this card. I took a close up of the rim to show the “sugar” (micro fine beads). I had fun making this card and will be trying one with Pink Lemonade soon. Ink and card stock is Lemon Tart (PaperTrey Ink).

After finishing the previous card I decided to make one with the boat. I paper pieced the boats and used some hemp in the eyelets to give it nautical feel. Main colors are Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi.

How sweet is this stamp? It’s from Bitty Blessings (PTI). I stamped the image onto some DP, cut it out and added some mini eyelets. The background circle was stamped with Soft Sky. I have had these mini clothes pins forever and thought they’d be perfect with this. Green cord is from WalMart and matched the Wild Wasabi scallop perfectly.  DP is from SS Creative License.

Another card using these gorgeous stamps by Kitchen Sink. I used Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and Gray ink for the flowers. This is a pretty simple card with several layers of card stock and white organza ribbon. I did add some pieces with a foam dimensional to give it some interest. Thanks for looking!
