My second card using Kitchen Sink Stamps. I have to tell you , they are a bit addicting…and they make you feel like you’re a better stamper than you are! LOL! Okay, so I thought it’d be cute to make it look as if this little guy wandered away to see what else was out there. I added lots of Stickles to the hydrangeas and butterflies. The ground was sponged and then I dotted it with a paintbrush and Chocolate Chip reinker. The sky was created with my scallop circle template and a sponge. Click on the picture for a close up view.

I finally ordered some Kitchen Sink Stamps. I have been wanting to try these forever! I admit that I was a bit intimidated when they came, as there are 3-4 steps to create this ultra cool look. However, after a bit of experimenting, I was comfortable enough to try a card with them.

This is my first one…a little humor amongst the chicks! Maria is a GENIUS, these stamps are awesome and I will definitely be getting more! The sky was created with a scalloped circle (my template)…I sponged ink on the template and moved it around. The eggshell on the little chick’s head is on a pop dot, it just added that extra smile for me. Thanks for looking!

I told myself that I didn’t need this set (Natural Beauty) because I had Touch of Nature. These two sets are similar and I really didn’t think I should have both.  However, I ended up trading some stamps for this and am glad I did. I watercolored and cut out lots of flowers and leaves and layered them until I got the look I wanted. I have been having fun with the 3D look lately so I hope you don’t get too bored!

*I* actually won blog candy over at Letters From Lizzie. I was so excited when I was able to pick any stamp set I wanted from the store!! I have been eyeballing several sets for some time, but I decided to go with Out of This World. It is so cute. Thanks, Tricia!

It was hard to get a good picture of this since the card base is Night of Navy. I used some silver metallic card stock for the moon and dotted it with Silver Stickles. The Stickles look really great in person on this card. I also added some raindrops for the windows on the rocket. I will give this to my son for his birthday this summer, I know he’ll love it.

Stamping Cottage had a good sale going on so I picked up another set called Far East, which will be getting inky soon!

Here is another card made using this set by Inkadinkado. The scalloped circle was punched with the giga punch (Marvy) and Elegant Eggplant is the main color. I bought some Oregon Raindrops from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts and used a small punch to punch out card stock and adhered it to the bottom. It changes the raindrop from clear to any color you happen to have…love it! There is also Dazzling Diamonds around the raindrop. Three petals were stamped, cut out and attached for a nice, 3D effect.

Here is another stamp I found at Archiver’s. It’s by Inkadinkado and makes for great monogrammed cards as well. I stamped the butterfly in black and stamped it again on separate card stock. Crystal Effects was applied to the body of the butterfly. The bottom wings were cut out and attached to the image to give it a 3D effect. “Celebrate” is from PTI (Out on a Limb) and a few crystals were added to complete the look.

I found this cute little guy at Archiver’s and had to pick it up. Image was watercolored and sentiment came from Amazing to Zany. This card is 3×3 which made it quick to make. Thanks for looking!

My friend, Karen, bought me this dollar stamp at Michaels last month. She was laughing when she gave it to me, but it really is a cute stamp! I made several cards with it and really like how they turned out. I watercolored the images and used Cool Carribean to shadow the roses. I also used Crystal Effects to add a glaze over one pair of roses, a very cool look. Main colors are Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate and Cool Carribean.

I found another clear set by Inkadinkado and these little birds are a crack up! Their expressions say it all. I used a stamp from Just Vine to make the long tree branch with the three birds and used watercolor crayons to color the images. I found some blue fibers and glued them onto one of the heads to make for some fly away feathers. There are all sorts of cool birds and owls in this set…even a weird lookin’ penguin. It will be fun to make more cards with these creatures. All supplies are Stampin’ Up! and of course, the Janome Sew Mini for the sewed portion.

These flowers were watercolored with Groovy Guava and Purey Pomegranate. I then curled the petals while the paper was still wet to give them a cool 3D look. I was experimenting with this card, however, I have another one that I will post soon using Natural Beauty, where the flowers look much better. Sentiment was stamped on Shimmer White and the border was doodled in.

Supplies: Embrace Life, unknown Helen Keller stamp, Ginger Blossom DP, Prima Got Flowers?, brads
