Cards, Stamping, Die Cutting, Paper Crafting, Digital Cutting & More!

Monthly Archives: April 2008

I think I went a little overboard with all the glitter on this card, however, you can’t blame a girl for being excited about new stamps! This card is square, 4.25″. The image was watercolored and I used Soft Sky as my card base.  Thanks for looking!

More simple watercolored cards.

When I first saw this set in the catty I didn’t think too much about it. However, after seeing a few samples in the gallery on SCS it really grew on me! I really love this set now and there is so much versatility in it. I watercolored the image and added Fruit Punch Stickles for some great sparkle.

This is a case of this card. I changed it up a bit but thought the cut out flowers were really cute. It’s hard to see in the picture but the flowers in front are on dimensionals. I thought the soft colors of the dp went well with the scene. Image was watercolored and then Stickles was added to the center of the flowers. Stamps are Time For You and Itty Bitty Background.

My sweet friend, Jen (Jen71 on SCS) challenged me to use Best Blossoms. This is a set that I have seen some beautiful cards with but have been unable to do it myself! So, here are my three attempts. One of them is a flap card (tutorial here), which is a trifold card. I used lightweight sewing velcro instead of magnets to keep it closed. The DP is from PTI and DCWV, stamps are Best Blossoms and a clear swirl set by Inkadinkado. Sentiment is from Sincere Salutations. Thanks for looking!

I got on an Unfrogettable kick awhile back and am finally posting the results. These are watercolored on Fabriano note cards and kept relatively simple. I had fun watercoloring!

I am behind in posting! I probably have about 20 cards that I need to post, I will try and get this done soon! This was for the sketch challenge on SCS. The background paper is from K&Co, they have some gorgeous double sided paper! I added the paper piercing at the end and think I may have ruined the card, but after letting it sit for a few days decided to not let it get to me. LOL! I watercolored the image on a Fabriano note card and used the petite oval nesties to cut it out. Card base is River Rock…I love this color as a card base. It took me several months to use River Rock because I had no idea what to do with it, but now I use it all the time as either the main color or as an accent. Thanks for looking!

A few more cards, I love using this as a card base and thought the “nature” theme would be nice. Stamps are Bugs & Slugs and PTI. Images were watercolored and I have a hint of Lime Stickles on the grasshopper. Sorry for the poor photos!

A simple card, image was embossed using rectangle Nestabilities and then watercolored. I added a little hint of Stickles for some soft sparkle. Stamps are Bugs & Slugs and Close As A Memory.

This layout is a CASE from an SCS card I saw about a year ago. I’m sorry, I don’t remember whose card it was! The stamps and colors were changed, but everything else is pretty much the same. Card base is River Rock and was stamped with River Rock, then filled in with a white gel pen. The Ruby Red card stock was torn and then pierced.  I used a white gel pen for the faux stitching. Stamps are Embrace Life and Sincere Salutations.
