I was so excited when I bought this set by Inkadinkado. I have to laugh at myself…I came home and got to work and produced these four cards. I sort of think they’re ridiculous now, but am posting them anyway! *laughing* I used Purely Pomegranate and black and accented them with a Copic Spica Glitter marker.

I have been wanting to post this for a few months! My dear, sweet, friend came over and made cards with me one afternoon. She’s a scrapper, not a card maker and I thought she did an excellent job for her first two cards evah!! Take a bow, Karen, don’t be shy (don’t kill me either!)! Leave some comments and show her some love, people!

Brocade Blue is so pretty, I need to use more of it. This was a thank you card for a sweet friend. The birds were watercolored with watercolor crayons and then matted with Ruby Red, Brocade Blue and Black. I kept this card clean and simple.

I guess I was feeling polka dotty when this card was made (geeze, now there’s a sentence!). Card base is Bashful Blue and DP is from Ginger Blossom. The birds were watercolored on some yummy Fabriano, and some black polka dot ribbon completed the card.

sympathy-tll.jpg

A sympathy card for a close friend. I stamped the image using Ruby Red and Old Olive and added some vellum. A tiny ribbon completed the detail. I added the two bottom brads when the vellum layer started to curl and refused to lay flat (forgot that I had vellum tape!).

sympathytree-tll.jpg

A sympathy card for a very special person. I used metallic bronze card stock for the tree which added a nice shimmer to the card. I watercolored the image using watercolor crayons and added some jumbo eyelets and ribbon. A paper piercer (a safety pin or large needle would work as well) was used for the corners of the image. Card base is River Rock and the DP is from SS Secret Garden (retired).

I love 3×3 cards and include them in on many items I send out. I also like the fact that they are fast and fun to make, not to mention cute. These were made with Simply Said and Dazzling Diamonds (hard to see in the picture). I thought these would be perfect for Valentine’s Day.

I have also been on a Ruby Red kick. I have been trying to pace myself, but sometimes, when the color calls you just have to go with it! I know, I’m strange, but I am lovable despite my weirdness! I promise! My friend (hi, Dianne!) did a huge favor for me and I wanted to thank her for her immediate willingness to help me out. This was one of my first cards made using Spiral Bouquet (PaperTreyInk) and though it wasn’t what I had envisioned, I was still hoping it would impress her! LOL!

spiral-bouquet2.jpg

Another card using Spiral Bouqet from PTI. I guess you could say I’m on a PTI kick. I really love the quality and versatility of their stamps. What can I say? I use what I love and love what I use! I used Ruby Red and Old Olive and stamped the image off once, then stamped again on card stock to get the lighter color. I added a few crystals for some bling (who doesn’t love sparkle?) and attached a sentiment. I think this card took me all of three minutes. Gotta love the quick cards…especially when you have little ones!

carribean-wool.jpg

The picture isn’t that great, but in person the color combo is so yummy! I used Cool Carribean as a card base and Chocolate Chip as an accent. I stamped the sheep on my favorite card stock, Shimmery White. The sheep is from My Punny Valentine and the background stamps are from Spiral Bouquet. Both sets are from PaperTreyInk. I used the word window punch for the sentiment and attached it with some foam squares.
