holiday-pomegranate.jpg

A simple card using Holiday Harmony DP and some Purely Pomegranate satin ribbon.  I stamped the snowflakes and sentiment in Encore Silver ink and then used Silver Stickles to accent the snowflakes.  Definitely a different color combo for a holiday card!

I have discovered that I am a sucker for birds.  I didn’t realize how much I liked them until I started stamping!  These little guys are so cute and so here is my little card.  Even though I used Shimmery White card stock I added some Copic Spica glitter pens to add more sparkle…perfect for this image!  Unfortunately my close up picture stinks!

Here is my final card using Embrace Life.  I stamped the flowers on Shimmery White card stock and cut them out.  Using blender pens and my Old Olive ink pad I colored them in and added my beloved Lime Stickles.  I stamped the little blossoms in Groovy Guava and added some Groovy Guava DP.

Yet another card using Embrace Life.  I really like the flowers in this set, very versatile.  I stamped in Old Olive on vellum and attached it to some DP with some ribbon.  Simple and nice!

I have always had a bit of a time using Groovy Guava, however, with the Simply Scrappin’ kit, Secret Garden, I think I have a newfound love for it! This card is made using some of the DP in it. Again, Old Olive was used, along with some Lime Stickles.

Another card using the River Rock, Old Olive, Shimmery White card stock combo.  This color combo is gorgeous in person.  The background was stamped in River Rock and the flower is colored in Old Olive.  If you haven’t used Shimmery White card stock and are getting bored with the standard white and vanilla, consider trying it!  I got mine from www.cutcardstock.com.  The color is Cryogen White (cover weight).  You can also order it from Stampin’ Up (email me for more info).  Anyway, back to the point, this card stock is so smooth and takes the blender pen beautifully.  I can’t color on other card stock with the blender pens to save my life, but the Shimmery White makes it so easy!

I pre-ordered Embrace Life from the new catty and really like all the possibilites with it!  I’m guessing that you will be seeing a lot of this set in the future!  LOL!  I used River Rock, Old Olive, and Shimmery White card stock.  The Shimmery White really gives the card a nice subtle sparkle and I find myself using it for most of my cards.  The “Thinking of You” sticker is from the Simply Sent Secret Garden kit.

Another quick card using my sewing machine and my new ribbon, satin Purely Pomegranate.  This ribbon really adds an elegant touch!

A quick card using my Pink Cat Studio stamps. I used Shimmery White card stock and the picture isn’t very good, but using blender pens with this card stock is a dream!

I acquired some Liquid Pearls in a trade I did recently and couldn’t wait to try them out.  I think I need some practice with them, but here’s the first card I tried.  I used them for the snow on the tree.  I stamped the background in Silver ink and distressed the edges of the images with my scissors.  I have been sewing a lot lately on my cards….which is a miracle considering that in general, I stink at sewing!
