Well here is my third and final card.  I used some of the same elements from the first two and changed my ink to Brocade Blue and am satisfied!  I love Brocade Blue and should have thought of that to begin with.  I also made a candle with it.  This will be part of the gift set for my parents…I doubt they read my blog so I *think* I’m pretty safe in posting!

Here is the second card I made using this stamp.  You can’t see it in the picture but there’s lots of dazzling diamonds on this card too!  Gotta love that sparkle!

I bought a few Thomas Kinkade stamps mainly because my parents are into him and thought I’d make them a gift set for Christmas.  Here’s my first card I made with it.  I wasn’t completely happy with the shade of blue but it was a fun first try!  I used Brilliance ink and I have to say the ink itself is shimmery and pretty.  I also had a bit of a “learning curve” with these stamps.  I found my first image never really stamped that great but the second image was crisp and clear.

I sewed the edges of the main image and distressed the cardstock.  I was inspired to distress the sewn edge by a card I saw on SCS.  I also used dazzling diamonds, but the picture doesn’t show how sparkly it is.

I colored the image using prismacolor pencils and blended with baby oil.  I also used dazzling diamonds on the wings (see 2nd photo).  I like the Night of Navy background on this card, it really makes the angel stand out.

Here is card I made for my girlfriend’s husband.   I actually made two cards and had my hubby pick the one he liked best.  This was made using Close to Cocoa ink and some bronze metallic card stock.  I will probably save it for the next time I need a masculine card.

Here is my last card I made using Country Blessings.  I had so many ideas in mind and they sort of all disappeared when I sat down with it.  That being said I am pleased with how this turned out.  I used Basic Grey DP and Creamy Caramel card stock and ink.  The leaf is cut out and on dimensionals.

This made for a fast card!  I used Apple Cider DP and some metallic bronze card stock (though it looks black in the photo).  I like how this had such a feel for Fall!

I liked this sketch from a few weeks back so much I tried it again, only I used Paper Trey’s Green Thumb stamps. I thought these worked well with the layout. I also used some sparkly stickers from Stampendous Class-A-Peel. They matched perfectly with the DP!

Sorry I have been MIA for the past few weeks!  This time of year is always busy for me.  I have been making a few cards here and there and am finally able to post them.

I love this set called Country Blessings by Stampin’ Up.  I know it’s retired but that has never stopped me from stamping with stamps that I love.  It’s hard to see but I used metallic bronze paper and it looks great.  I colored the image with ink pads and a blender pen.  The second picture is a close up of the leaves.

Yesterday’s sketch challenge on SCS looked like a fun one.  My little penguin friends fit in it perfectly!

Background layer was embossed using the snowflake folder and snowflake die cuts, both by Cuttlebug.  I added a layer of stickles to the snowflakes for some sparkle.  I should have distressed the edges of the little penguins but forgot to before I glued it to the card!

Stamps – Stampendous Polka Penguin, A Muse Oval  Paper – Bashful Blue, metallic silver, black  Accessories – Marvy Wet Looks markers, Cuttlebug embossing folder and die, snowflakes, scissors (for distressing), stickles
