I put this card together a few weeks ago before my daughter got sick.  I love this set by Paper Trey but for some reason get so stumped when I try and use it!  I will keep playing around until one day I finally get it! *smiles*

One of my LSS has gone out of business.  I finally stopped in before they closed and found this ultra cool paper!  I had planned on using it with some of my bellas but being I had such limited time I decided to do a fast and simple layout.

Stamps – Sincere Salutations  Paper – Old Olive, unknown patterned DP  Accessories – Old Olive grosgrain ribbon

I have had a long and draining week.  My daughter has been in and out of the doctors and hospital for a kidney and blood infection.  She is doing much better now but really had us in for a scare!  So to unwind I have had to do some fast cards!

Here is a fast and simple card I put together in a few minutes.  I used DCWV The Far East paper stack and trimmed the Koi fish down, then layered it with Blue Bayou card stock.  The Crop-O-Dial made setting my eyelets fast and even!  The base of the card is stamped using Artfully Asian.  I think the sentiment is too dark in black, but it will do for now!

Stamps – Artfully Asian  Paper – DCWV Far East Stack, Sage Shadow, Blue Bayou  Ink – Sage Shadow, Black  Accessories - COD, eyelets, scissors for distressing

Here is a 4×4 card I put together using the new K&Company DP that I bought at Joann’s.  I used prismacolor pencils and baby oil to color the image.  I sponged the edges in Always Artichoke and distressed the edges of the Always Artichoke layer.  The corner stamps are stamped in Sage Shadow and were given to me by my big sis Holly!

Stamps – Feathered Hope, Stampendous clear corners  Paper – K&Company, Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla  Accessories – prismacolor pencils, baby oil, blender stump, grosgrain ribbon

Here is a stamp I bought at Caprice (formerly known as Doctor Scrapbook).  I have not used it as much as I would have liked, but I had some great ideas when I bought it!  This background is from when I made my first shaving cream card (the first card that I uploaded on my blog).  I loved how that card turned out but am unsure of this one.  I think I will play with it some more and see what I come up with.

Stamp -  B Line Designs, River Walk  Paper - DCWV Old World Map, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White – Accessories – Chocolate Chip reinker, shaving cream, brads

Here is a card that I cased from someone over at SCS.  Unfortunately I cannot remember who though, so if you’re reading this, please let me know!  I changed the main image to these adorable birds.  A quick and simple card!

Just a quick little holiday card.  I inked just the dog from Loads of Love Accessories and put him in the driver’s seat.  The trees were cut out and then sponged with Always Artichoke.  Can you believe that I didn’t use any Stickles on this card!?!??  I am amazing even myself!

Stamps – Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories  Paper – Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, River Rock, LeJardin DP  Ink – Always Artichoke, Brocade Blue  Accessories – brads, artichoke ribbon

I really wanted to try another flip book only larger this time.  I took two coasters and trimmed an inch off of both of them.  I then placed the coasters together and lined up the cut edges.  Then I glued two pieces (one for each side) of heavy card stock over the “seams” to bind them together, almost like taping them together, only I glued them.  I was concerned about how well the coasters would hold, but they seemed pretty sturdy.  Once some heavy decorative/designer paper was added you couldn’t tell that it wasn’t just one piece.

I added some pockets on the inside of the front and back cover.  I thought it’d be cute to add a few notes, tags, photos and what-not to them.  The paper is a stack from K&Company, it came with 36 double-sided papers.  I picked it up at Joann’s last night.  It is really pretty and I can see myself using it for many projects.  It has so many of the SU colors in it, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate, River Rock, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa…and the list goes on!

Once again, here is the tutorial from Lisa at Splendiferous Creations.  She makes it so easy to create something so cool!

Isn’t she cute?  I swapped some Bella images (Stamping Bella) with Dianne (The Scrappin’ Librarian) and decided I should have some fun!  The background is stamped in River Rock and Rhonna Farrer’s Swirls v:1.  I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and used a blending stump and baby oil to blend it.  I like the control that Prismacolor pencils and baby oil offer…great for shading!  It’s hard to see but the tab has “girl friend” stamped on it (love my Karen Foster Snap Stamps!!).  I used the Crop-O-Dial to set the eyelets and tied hemp twine in them.  The image is on dimensionals and finally, Stickles was added to the small handbag and shoes.

Stamps - Emmybella, Rhonna Farrer Swirls v:1, Karen Foster Snap Stamps  Paper – River Rock, Bordering Blue, LeJardin DP  Accessories – round tab punch, hemp twine, eyelets, Crop-O-Dial, dimensionals, Stickles, Prismacolor Pencils, baby oil & stump for blending
